Project - 2 - Meshing on the suspension Assembly

Aim: To create the Volume mesh and mid surface and assemble the all the components with the RBE2 connections.

Working procedure:

Step 1: Check the geometrical errors.

Step 2: Set the quality for all the operations.

Quality Criteria for Surface Meshing of Tyre and Rim (Element type: Tria) :

Step 3: Set the element target length for all operations.

Step 4: Create the new PID for Tyre and Rim and then create the mesh(Best mesh). After this create the volume mesh and check the tet collapse.

Step 5: Creating the mid surface for less than 5mm by using Casting operation.

Step 6: Convert the Spring as a 1D Bar element. Here create the curve and Cog point and then perform the CBAR Operation and it will create the 1D bar element.

Step 7: Give the RBE2 connections. After all the operations Transform the model.

learning outcome: New concept learn and new commands and converting 1D bar element.

NOTE: The file is uploaded in a word document you can check it and evaluate.

Issue: While performing the Connection operation ANSA get crashing. So may be may not be some connections are improper or some connections will miss.

Conclusion: Here new concept i have learn and good results it gevin. In connection part Ansa is crashing.
