Result of an image after using the Laplacian filter:

The result after using the Prewitt filter:

As a result shows, the Laplacian filter does better edge detection than the Prewitt filter. The Laplacian filter is a second-order derivative method so it has fine details in the image for perfect edge detection and it only use one kernel size. Hence it is better than prewitt filter
