PROJECT-2

Aim:

To route the wire harness on the given backdoor assembly and create a flatten view drawing in CATIA V5.

Objective:

The goal of this project is to route the wire harness and create a flatten view design for the backdoor of the automobile. All packaging standards must be addressed while routing the harness, and industry-standard procedures must be displayed in harness design. All relevant data, including as clearance, clipping/clamping selection, harness fastening requirements, and harness continuity, should be supplied when designing the wire harness.

The trunk or boot of a car is the vehicle's primary storage or cargo area; it also has a hatch at the rear. It's also called a tailboard. These doors can be operated manually or electrically. Here, we use Catia to construct the trunk or rear door wiring harness. The backdoor is made up of several pieces, including the inner panel, outer panel higher, outer panel lower, and reinforcement. The inner panel is joined to the outer panel with mastic sealant.

Step-1 Context Assembly:

Step-2 Defining Components Electrically:

Acquiring the necessary components for the wire harness routing. We're using the components for the backdoor upper and lower lights, wiper motor, sensors, and defogging equipment. The connections are defined electrically before being included to the CATIA model.

1.Interconnection connector:

2. 2-pole connectors:

3. P clamp and Furr tree clip

Conclusion:

All required aspects are applied to the connections, clip, p clamp, and channel.Provided correct bundle routing using support elements such as clips and clamps. Flattened the harness assembly entirely and placed the flattened view on the sketch sheet.
