Modeling a System-Level simulation of BAJA Team All-Terrain Vehicle(ATV) with Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT)
Modeling a System-Level simulation of an all-terrain vehicle:-
Model:- BAJA Team All-Terrain Vehicle(ATV) with Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT)

Simulation for the below model is carried out:-
- BAJA ATV CVT model without lookup table (Open Loop)
- BAJA ATV CVT model without lookup table and with Dashboard (Open Loop)
- BAJA ATV CVT model with a lookup table (closed Loop)
- BAJA ATV CVT model with a lookup table and with Dashboard (closed Loop)
Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT):-
A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is an automatic transmission that can change seamlessly through a continuous range of gear ratios. This contrasts with other transmissions that provide a limited number of gear ratios in fixed steps. The flexibility of a CVT with suitable control may allow the engine to operate at a constant RPM while the vehicle moves at varying speeds.

1.BAJA ATV CVT model without lookup table(Open Loop):-
A signal builder is used as input.
Various inputs are shown below.

2.BAJA ATV CVT model without lookup table and with Dashboard (Open Loop):-
- Everything is the same compared to the above model, instead of signal builder we used the gauges to define the inputs.

3.BAJA ATV CVT model with a lookup table (closed Loop):-
Lookup Table:- A lookup table block uses an array of data to map input values to output values, approximating a mathematical function. Given input values, Simulink performs a “lookup” operation to retrieve the corresponding output values from the table.

The main difference is the lookup table everything remained the same as the initial model.
The script is loaded into the model so as to lock the vehicle's speed.

Look Up Table:-
A lookup table block uses an array of data to map input values to output values, approximating a mathematical function. Given input values, Simulink performs a “lookup” operation to retrieve the corresponding output values from the table.
The model's main difference:- Everything remains the same but here the vehicle speed is fixed.
