Project 1 - V&V SW Analysis - I
Write a Test plan to test features of a new mobile phone (Blackbox test) that needs to be implemented based on the following requirements. (The product is still under development stage and is yet to be UA (User Acceptance ) tested .Every other thing to be included in the test plan can be hypothetical.
TEST PLAN:
The test plan is a base of every software's testing. The test plan is a detailed documentation that provides informationabout all the necessary resourses and activities that will be part of hardware and software. It acts as a blueprint for testing activities and helps ensure that the software or system is functioning as expected and its is guide for all developers, testers etc.It is used in both black box testing and white box testing.
TYPES OF TEST PLAN:
they are,
1 Master Test Plan
Multiple levels of testing includes a complete test strategy.
2 Phase test plan
Addresses any one phase of the testing strategy for example, a list of tools, a list of test cases, etc.
3 Testing Type specific test plans
Basically designed for major types of testing like security testing, load testing, performance testing etc.
TEST PLAN ATRIBUTES:
All the atributes are mandatory
TEST OBJECTIVE:
What are we going to test such as features, working conditions, functions etc.
SCOPE OF TESTING:
What are ethices we are going to discuss. It contains information that needs to be tested with respective of an application. The Scope of testing divided into two parts
In scope features
The modules that need to be tested rigorously.
Out scope features
The modules that need not to be tested rigorously.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
All the roles and responsibilties are taken care by the test manager.

SCHEDULE OF TEST:
It is used to check the plan date and submit date to the customer.
ASSUMPTIONS:
It contains information about a problem or issue which maybe occurred during the testing process and when we are writing the test plans.
RISKS:
These are the challenges which we need to face to test the application, risks related to the availability of the resoures and technical knowlege of the team.
Mitigation Plan/Contingency Plan:
It is plan to overcome from the risks and problem.Addressing risks in structured fashion.
TEST METHODOLOGY:
It contains information about performing a different kind of testing like Functional testing, Integration testing, and System testing. We implement in element contol technique.
TEST APPROACH:
Q & A management team and is used to describe the flow of the application while performing testing and for the future reference.
flow of the application
- By writing the high-level scenarios
- By writing the flow graph
ENTRY CRITERIA:
White box should be completed.
EXIT CRITERIA:
This approach that shall be fulfilled to complete the software testing life cycle. Most of the test cases must be passed in this case.
TEST ENVIRONMENTS:
This approach requires that to start and complete activities without hindrance. The environments where we will test the application, and there are two types of environments, which are of software and hardware configuration.
Software configuration means different OS such as Windows, Linux, UNIX, and Mac .
Hardware configuration means RAM, ROM, and the Processors.
DEFECT TRACKING:
The tracking of bugs and reported during various phases of software testing.
eg:- JIRA is protocol.
EFFFORT ESTIMATION:
Automation testing refers to the process of using specialized software tools and scripts to perform test cases.
TEST AUTOMATION:
The process of using automation tools to maintain test data, execute tests, and analyze test results to improve software quality.
TEST DELIVERABLE:
The documents which are the output from the testing team, which we handed over to the customer along with the product.
IMPORTANCE OF TEST PLAN:
1 Customer Satisfaction
2 Quality of the product
3 Time and Cost Estimation
TEST PLAN:
