Cell: ANR26650M1-B
Prepare a detailed battery pack drawing along with its enclosure. State your assumptions.
*** Nanophosphate High Power Lithium Ion Cell ANR26650M1-B:

A123’s high-performance Nanophosphate lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery technology delivers high power and energy
density combined with excellent safety performance and extensive life cycling in a lighter weight, more compact package.
Our cells have low capacity loss and impedance growth over time as well as high usable energy over a wide state of charge (SOC) range, allowing our systems to meet end-of-life power and energy requirements with minimal pack oversizing.

*** Assumptions:
Battery energy: 18 kwh
Voltage: 400V
** Energy: 18kwh
** Number of Cells: energy/(nominal voltage * capacity)
N: 18000/(3.3*2.5)
N: 2182
Therefore, we need 2182 cells to get a 18kwh energy and based on this the configuration is decided wether series or parallel.
In the series configuration the capacity remains same and voltage will be the sum of the cell voltages.
In the parallel configuration the voltage remains same and capacity will be the sum of the cell voltages.
** Ns(series): Voltage/Nominal voltage.
Ns: 400/3.3
Ns: 121.21
(Or)
Ns: 122
** Np(parallel): Total cell/Ns
Np: 2182/122
Np: 17.8
(Or)
Np: 18
** Cell architechture: 122 Cells in series and 18 Cells in parallel.
Therefore, the cell architechture is 122S18P respectively.
** Battery Capacity: parallel cell rows*cell capacity
Battery Capacity: 18*2.5
Battery Capacity: 45Ah
** Weight of the battery pack:
Cell weight: 76g
Number of cells: 2182
Battery pack weight: Cell weight*No. of cells+weight of the accessories.
Battery pack weight: 76*2182+4.5
Battery pack weight: 170.3kg
