Project 1 Hood

Design of Hood Inner Panel :

• With the given Hood Outer Styling, basic flanges has been created by law extension according to the given master section
• With the flanges created, panels has been extended and trimmed for completion and fillets are provided as per the given master section

• The cut out is given for weight reduction and provided in such a way the impact forces directed away from the centre i.e towards the hinges
• Mastic sealer applicability provisions are provided at the centre part whereas outer side will be hemmed with the outer panel
• Further holes are provided for overslam bumpers and wax injection holes
• Embosses has been created considering the latch, hinges and control rod designs

• Hemming of inner hood panel with the outer panel with 0.75 as panel thickness and 0.25 as the gap in between them

• Joint corners has been cut for better sealer workability

• Flat surfaces are made and emboss is done for hinge placement
