Project 1 _Creating an Architectural plan for the provided plot size and develop relevant basic structural drawings

Aim :

Design and Draft a layout of a residential building with the following details:

a. Plot Size: 60’x20’ (18.3m x6m)

b. Orientation- Facing East

c. Develop the following: 1. Architectural Drawing (Floor Plan, Elevations, and Sections) 2. Structural Drawing (Column, Bean, Footing Plan)

Procedure :

1. First the unit was set to 'Decimal' and 'Meter'

2. The plinth size depth was taken at 500 mm.

3. The Height of each floor was taken 3.2 meters (3200 mm)

4. The command 'Line Command' was used to draft the Layout of the Plan

5. External wall width was taken 200 mm and internal wall width was taken 100 mm.

6. The Elevation was taken below the Layout Plan.

7. The column was taken 300 x 200 mm and it was drawn by using the 'Line Command' & 'Offset Command'

8. The trim command was used wherever necessary to trim the Lines which are not necessary.

9. The Section Line in Yellow color and drawn from the necessary Layout.

10. According to the Layout of the Yellow Section Line The Section was drawn.

The Plot Size is 60’x20’ (18.3m x6m).

The command used to draft the plan were Line Command, Offset, Trim Command, Xline (Horizontal & Vertical)

Window Sizes are as follows :

1. W1 - 1.00 X 1.20 Meter

2. W2 - 0.60 X 0.70 Meter

Height of Floor :

1. Ground Floor - 3.05 Meter ( Plinth top to Slab Bottom)

2. First Floor - 3.20 Meter

a. Plan of Residential 2BHK Building.

b. Living Room - 3.50 X 3.00 Meter

c. Bedroom 1 - 2.70 X 2.60 Meter

d. Bedroom 2 - 2.80 X 2.60 Meter

e. Toilet 1 - 1.20 X 2.00 Meter

f. Toliet 2 - 1.20 X 2.00 Meter

g. Kitchen - 2.00 X 3.00 Meter

Conclusion - The 2BHK plan is Completed
