Project 1 - COVID-19 Vaccinations Trend Analysis
VACCINE AVAILABILTY
Introduction : The Corona Virus pandemic in 2019 has changed the world order and changed its pattern , to control the spread of the virus the whole world has to rush against time to develop vaccinations and make sure they have reached each country and every person.
AIM : The following data set provides the total vaccinations across each country and the type of vaccinations used . We are finding the total number of vaccinations that extremely vulnerable countries and developed countries got, so that we can find the differences in the access to the vaccinations and what can be done to reduce the inequalities.
PROBLEM STATEMENT: To find the rate of accessibility every country has to vaccinations and what can be done to reduce the inequalities in case of future pandemics.
METHODOLOGY: The methodology used is creating reports from the data set using power bi software, analyzing the reports and drawing conclusions.
ANALYSIS:
I have created different charts and reports for analysis
Vaccinations in underdeveloped countries:
Underdeveloped countries have less access to important vaccines , medicines food etc during disasters. This is because underdeveloped countries have less economic development , no proper government , less awareness among people , and war or unrest situations
I have taken a few countries as examples for the analysis
Afghanistan, Chad , Democratic republic of Congo , Congo , Djibouti , Ethiopia , Faeroe Islands, Falkland Islands
As we can see from the report : the total vaccinations from these countries is around 1.8 bn and the availability of different types of vaccinations are Sputnik V , Johnson Johnson , Moderna etc
And some countries only have access to only two types of vaccines , eg : Democratic republic of Congo has only access to 2 types
And the number of daily does of vaccinations is also very less in underdeveloped countries as seen in the report , democratic republic of Congo has only 95000 daily dose of vaccinations
Vaccinations in Developed Countries:
For developed countries I have taken the following countries as examples: Canada, France, Germany, UAE, USA, UK
From the reports we can see that these few countries have more vaccinations than the number of underdeveloped countries I have taken as example , the total no of vaccinations in these few developed countries is around 2bn
These countries also have access to various types of vaccinations , each country has availability of 5-6 models , thus giving the residents of the countries access to more number of vaccinations . This gives the residents a freedom of choice to choose between the vaccinations they want.
WHAT THIS DATA TELLS US:
We can see that from the above data report analysis there is clear difference between the number of vaccinations available to residents of developed and underdeveloped countries . This shows the amount inequalities existing in the world
WHAT CAN BE DONE:
There is clear difference between the total vaccinations in developed countries and underdeveloped countries , which is around 0.2 billion , this is just according to the countries taken as examples . When compared to all countries in this world the inequality number increases
To reduce this inequality number, all the developed countries should join hand with world organizations like the WHO and make sure that amount vaccinations reach all the underprivileged and under developed , the rich nations should increase the funding to make sure the goal is achieved
We want a world where every human feels safe and healthy during these tough situations.
