AIM:
To analyze the various characteristics of the building in the terms of various aspects which is related to seismic analysis of highrise building by using the software ETABS.
Procedure:-
i) MODEL A:
First open the ETABS software.
Click on the file option and select the new model.
After selecting the new model the new tab will open.
After setting the model intialization the templates tab will opens and select the Grid only and press ok.
The we need to do the settings in grid sysytem data. Along the X and Y direction are 4 and 3.
Column size is 400x400.
Beam size is 300x400mm.
Slab thickness is 150mm
Wall load: 10kN/m and the Live load: 3kN/m.
Result:
ii)MODEL B:
Now add three more stories the model will be of 5 stories.
Column size is 400x400.
Beam size is 300x400mm.
Slab thickness is 150mm
Wall load: 10kN/m and the Live load: 3kN/m.
Result:
iii) MODEL C:
The building with rectangular columns oriented along X-direction.
iv) MODEL D:
Building with rectangular columns oriented along Y-direction.
v) MODEL E:
Add 5 more stories to the model B and model E will be 10 stories.
Size of columns for top 5 stories is 400x400mm.
Size of columns for bottom 5 storeys 600x600mm.
Result:
vi) MODEL F:
Size of columns for 10 stories is 600x600mm.
Result:
vii) MODEL G:
Add 15 more stories to model F and the building will be with 25 stories.
Size of columns for top 5 stories is 400x400mm.
Size of columns for10 stories is 600x600mm.
Size of columns for bottom 10 stories is 800x800mm.
Result:
viii) Model H:
In this 25 stories buildings model.
Column size:
800x800mm and
Beam size:
300x400mm.
Result:
vix) MODEL I:
In this model the imposed Live load has been increased to 10%. So the Live load increased from 3KN/m to 3.3KN/m.
Result:
x) MODEL J:
In this model the imposed Live load has been increased bto 20%. So the Live load increased from 3KN/m to 3.6KN/m.
