Project 1 : CFD Meshing for Tesla Cyber Truck

PROJECT CHALLENEGE -TESLA CYBER TRUCK: DETAILED REPORT

INTRODUCTION:

TESLA CYBER TRUCK IS A BATTERY ELECTRIC LIGHT-DUTY TRUCK ANNOUNCED BY TESLA.

IT IS BUILT WITH AN EXTERIOR SHELL MADE FOR ULTIMATE DURABILITY AND PASSENGER PROTECTION., EVERY COMPONENT IS DESIGNED FOR SUPERIOR STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE.

AIM:

For the given model, check and solve all geometrical errors and Assign appropriate PIDs. Perform meshing with the suitable Target length and element Quality criteria.

PROCEDURE:

(1) Download the given geometry file in our system

(2) Open that geometry file in ANSA software.

(3) Then change the resolution and do a topo for the overall geometry.

(3) For the simplicity, delete the half portion of the geometry

(4) Then do a geometry check for finding the geometrical and penetration errors.

(5) After correcting some errors do a geometry check in between.

(6) Finally remeoved all geometrical and penetration errors.

(7) In warnings all single cons are at the half portion.

(8)Then assigned PIDs for all parts.

SURFACE MESHING OF TESLA CAR:

(9) Then start meshing on each part of tesla car.

(10) For tyres and windows I given target length as 2mm.

(11) Then for body and lights I given target length as 5mm.

WINDTUNNEL CREATION:

(12) Windtunnel created based on the dimension of geometry.

(13) For the meshing of windtunnel, target length 50mm given for bottom face and 150mm given for top face.

(14) For the meshing of side faces of windtunnel I used manuel spacing.

(15) Finally I meshed the tesla car and windtunnel.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

* Learned how to solve different types of geometrical errors by using different tools.

* Learned how to do surface meshing on the Tesla Cyber Truck and windtunnel with different target length.

* Learned how to create windtunnel based on the dimensions of the geometry.

RESULT:

* Done surface meshing on the Tesla Cybertruck and windtunnel with target length.

* Done geometry cleanup.

* Created windtunnel based on the dimensions of the geometry.

* Assigned PIDs.

CONCLUSION:

In conclusion, I learned many things from this project. Done surface meshing on the Tesla Cybertruck and windtunnel with target length. Done geometry cleanup.Created windtunnel based on the dimensions of the geometry and assigned PIDs also.
