Week -2
Report-Challenge 1:
(1) The block diagram of 1st challenge is attached along with this.
(2) For generating pulse there is a pulse generator provided and for each 2 sec pulse will be generated with amplitude 1.
(3) For seeing the generated pulse there is scope connected to the pulse generator.
(4) For the actuation of switch, we need physical signal and therefore a simulink to ps converter is used and which is connecetd with the switch.
(5) Switch is actually placed between the solenoid and the battery. Positive terminal of battery is connected with the switch and negative terminal of battery is conneted to the electrical reference which is acting as earthing. Spring of solenoid also connected to the negative terminal of battery.
(6) For capturing the motion of plunger of solenoid we provided an ideal translational motion sensor and that is connected with the solenoid plunger. The P port of ideal translational motion sensor represents the position of plunger and the v port represents the velocity of plunger.
(7) Here we need only the position of plunger and therefore the P port of ideal translational motion sensor is conneceted with to a solver configuration block and with a scope block where we can see the position of plunger at each second.
(8) The plot of generated pulse and the plot of position of plunger are attached along with this .
Report-Challenege 2:
I am attaching the block diagram of this challenge and the plot for the variation of signal and voltage along with this.
(1) For generating the signal, we are using a signal builder here.
(2) Based on the generated signal, controlled temperature source is generating the correspong temperature.
(3) Thermistor will measure the temperature and produce corresponding voltage.
(4) A DC voltage source is using for powerup the thermistor.
(5) In resistor we are giving resistance as 1ohm.
(6) A Voltage sensor is connected parallel to the resistor and it will sense the corresponding voltage which produce from thermistor.
(7) Instead of fan we are using a 3 port switch and giving a threshold value according to that it will work.
(8) Scope is connected with voltage sensor and the signal builder so that we can see it's variation at each second.
(9) A display also connected to see the corresponding values.
(10) A solver configuration also connected to compute the equations.
