Project 1
PROJECT 1
ENGINE WIRING HARNESS
Aim:- To Design Wiring Harness for Given Engine Data.
Obective :
- To Design Wiring Harness.
- To Define Connectors Electrically.
- To Route the Electrical Bundles by using Connectors,P Clamps,Firr Tree and Guide Channel.
- Flatten the Harness and Drafting for Manufacturing.
INPUT DATA:-
ENGINE DATA
we need to download the Engine data through GrabCadd or by the link provided below by the skill lync
Grab Cadd :- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IZ5-JJw7DO7UHujDL55vs_itcuiKQcwG/view?usp=sharing
Skill lync :- https://drive.google.com/file/d/12MCZ9dES8ui-RX4jSWHRp7EqvawUxmsl/view?usp=sharing
bettre to go with Skill lync provided Engine Data because it is very handly to work.
CONNECTORS DATA
in this project we are going to Use 2 Types of Connectors
- Two Pole Connectors
- Four Pole Connectors
- Inter connector
a) TWO POLE CONNECTOR
are used for Oil pressure sensors,Engine Coolent Temp Sensor,Vehicle speed sensor,Neutal position sensor. total we use 5 Two pole connectors to Route the harness.
b) FOUR POLE CONNECTOR
Four pole connector is used to route the Injector and Cam Shaft position sensor in this project we have used 16 for Injector and 4 for Cam Shaft sensor.
c) INTER CONNECTOR
inter connector is used to connect the Engine Harness with Vehicle Harness System.
HARNESS SUPPORTS
to route the harness we need mountings here we use
1.Furr Tree
2.P Clamp
1. FURR TREE
Furr tree is used as support for harness where the harness is routed over the head and tied using cable ties.
it is inserted to threaded profiles so it wount come easily and makes sure proper fitments.
2. P CLAMP
DEFINING CONNECTORS AS ELECTRICAL PART
1. TWO POLE CONNECTOR(C-282080-1)
a.Define as Connector
b. Connector Connection point defination
c) Bundle Connection point defination
Connector is defined as Electrical part.
2.FOUR POLE CONNECTOR(C-1563689-1)
a) As Connector
b) Connector Connection point defination
c) Bundle Connection point definition
3.INTER CONNECTOR(C-776438-4)
a) As Connector
b) Connector Connection Point defination
c) Bundle connection point Defination
DEFINING MOUNTINGS AS ELECTRICAL PART
1. FURR TREE
2. P CLAMP
ENGINE HARNESS ROUTING
Before routing the Harness we need to Insert Engine Data into Context assebly as shown in the fig
2. ENGINE ASSEMBLY
In this given Engine Data Some Sensors are missing so we need to assemble them in the correct Position.
Assemble the sensors in proper position as shown in the figure.
above shown data are missing in the engine surface data.
Position the Above data in the proper position.
Import this to Engine Context Assembly
3.HARNESS ASSEMBLY
in this assembly we need to position all the connectors and Mountings in proper position to ensure correct Routing of harness to position we can use Rotate, Campus, Snap and Move Tools.
Guide Channel and Injector Connector Assembly
above fig shows the injector connector and Guide Channel assembly in to the Engine @ both sides.
Above shown Components are to be assembled at correct posionts except Mountings
mountings are positioned based on the requirements
Routing the Bundles
by using multibrachabel command we will define the harness as shown in the fig
PROTECTION COVERING
ANNOTATIONS
Harness With Annotations
TREE STRUCTURE
Flattening
first we need to Set parameters and then the flattening commands will be activated
PARAMETES
USING EXTRACT COMMAND WE NEED TO IMPORT THE HARNESS INTO THE FLATTEN ASSY
Now we need to Flatten the Harness Using Flatten Command
FLATTEN HARNESS
TREE STRUCTURE
Flatten Drawing
CONCLUSION
Engine routing is done Using Catia V5 here we come to use different commands i the wiring harness and created.
