1 Using 3D model create a section box = BX
2 To create similar doors and windows in a floor plan layout = CS
3 To reduce the thickness of lines visible in plan views = TL
4 To apply override settings to a floor in the model section view = EOD
5 To increase the range of visibility in a plan view = VR
6 To select the previously selected items = CTRL+<
7 To add annotations to the model views = DL
8 To bring the model elements in line = AL
9 To rotate the model elements = RO
10 To move an object to another location = MV

2) Using Revit and the project used from week 6 to 8 prepare a schedule for the following
a. Walls
b. Doors
c. Windows
d. Material – Concrete/Wood

Introduction-

1. A schedule is a tabular display of information, extracted from the properties of the elements in a project.

2. A schedule can list every instances of the type of element you are scheduling, or it collapse multiple instance into a single

row, based on the schedules grouping criteria.

3. You can create schedule at any point in the design process.

4. As you make changes to the model effect the schedule, it automatically updates to reflect those changes. You can add a

schedule to drawing sheet.

5. You can export a schedule to another software program, such as spreadsheet program.

Procedure -

First we have to open Revit Project and go to the view tab and select the schedule option.

After select the schedules option the new tab will appears.

Next we need to select the walls schedule and press ok.

Next the schedule properties tab will be displayed.

Next we need to select the schedule fields in order and click ok.

Next we need to select the schedule fields in order and click ok.

Next the Wall Material takeoff schedule tab will be displayed.

Result -

Prapared a schedule successfully for the given elements using Revit.

3) Using Revit Calculate area and volume of each room in the model with appropriate room tags applied to each room. Prepare a schedule report for area and volume of each room.

Introduction -

1. A schedule is a tabular display of information, extracted from the properties of the elements in a project.

2. A schedule can list every instances of the type of element you are scheduling, or it collapse multiple instance into a single

Next we need to select the schedule fields in order and click ok.

Next the Room schedule tab will be displayed.

Result -

Preapaed a schedule report successfully for area and volume for each room in hotel.

4) Using the same schedule using the unit cost rate for materials available in the internet, prepare total cost of materials used in the project
a. Total Cost of Materials
b. Individual Material Take off

Introduction -

Material takeoff schedules list the sub components or materials of any Revit Family.

Material takeoff schedule have all the functionallity and characteristics of other schedule views, but they allow you to show

more detial about the assembly of a component.

Any material that is placed in a component within Revit can be schedule.

Procedure -

First we have to open Revit Project and go to the view tab and select the Material takeoff option.

After selecting the material takeoff option the new tab will appears.

Next we need to select the door material and press ok.

Next the Material takeoff properties tab will be displayed.
