Planetary Gear
Aim:
Use the following inputs for designing the Planetary Gear
- Ring Gear
- Module = 2.5 (You must use the metric system in design modeler)
- Number of teeth = 46
- Sun Gear
- Number of teeth = 14
- Number of teeth = 14
- Planet gear
- Number of teeth = 16
- Input Speed of the Gear = 200 rpm.
- Number of planet gears = 4
Planetary gear:
A planetary gear set is made up of three types of gears; a sun gear, planet gears, and a ring gear. The sun gear is located at the center and transmits torque to the planet gears (blue) which are typically mounted on a moveable carrier. The planet gears orbit around the sun gear and mesh with an outer ring gear. Planetary gear systems can vary in complexity from very simple to intricate compound systems, depending on the application.
Condition:
Gear configurations:
Ring Gear:
No of Teeth=46
module=2.5mm
Face width=12mm
Pressure angle=20 degrees
outside diameter=135mm
Pitch circle diameter: No of Teeth * modulde=46*2.5=115
Sun gear:
No of Teeth=14
module=2.5mm
Face width=12mm
Pressure angle=20 degrees
Nominal shaft diameter=20mm
Pitch circle diameter: No of Teeth * modulde=14*2.5=35mm
Planet gear:
No of Teeth=16
module=2.5mm
Face width=12mm
Pressure angle=20 degrees
Nominal shaft diameter=18mm
Pitch circle diameter: No of Teeth * modulde=16*2.5=40mm
Final assembly:
