Photo Realistic Rendering

American chopper

Introduction - This report contains the design of American chopper. Here we will get to know that how parts are been created and assembled with the finish touch by giving it a realistic view called as rendering.

Objective - Designing the model using creative thoughts and can be drawn using multiple ways. Several tools are used to draw the parts using proper dimensions and make it from imagination to reality.

Parts and explanation -

  • Transmission belt - A belt is a loop of flexible material used to link two or more rotating shafts mechanically, most often parallel. Belts may be used as a source of motion, to transmit power efficiently or to track relative movement. Belts are looped over pulley and may have a twist between the pulleys, and the shafts need not be parallel. In a two-pulley system, the belt can either drive the pulleys normally in one direction, or the belt may be crossed, so that the direction of the driven shaft is reversed. As a source of motion, a conveyor belt is one application where the belt is adapted to carry a load continuously between two points. The belt drive can also be used to change the speed of rotation, either up or down, by using different sized pulleys.

Features used – 2d sketch, extrude and fillet.

  • Kickstand - A kickstand is a device on a bicycle or motorcycle that allows the bike to be kept upright without leaning against another object or the aid of a person. A kickstand is usually a piece of metal that flips down from the frame and makes contact with the ground. It is generally located in the middle of the bike or towards the rear. Some touring bicycle have two: one at the rear, and a second in the front.

Features used – 2d sketch, extrude cut, extrude, dome fillet.

  • Front Fender – Plays an important of protecting the chassis from getting dirty when tyre used to rotate while running a bike.

Features used – 2d sketch, revolve, fillet, cut extrude, surface trim, thicken.

  • Rear Fender - Plays an important of protecting the chassis from getting dirty when tyre used to rotate while running a bike.

Features used – 2d sketch, revolve, fillet, cut extrude, surface trim, thicken.

  • Oil tank - An oil storage tank is a container or reservoir that temporarily holds oil in the various stages of processing into other oil products, or before it is used or consumed. Based on location, oil storage tanks may be classified as surface or above ground, semi subterranean and subterranean or underground tanks. The structure and materials of oil storage tanks depend on their intended use and the environmental, safety and other legal requirements in the storage location.

Feature used – 2d sketch, surface extrude, fillet, surface, surface knit, shell, extrude.

  • Chain - An oil storage tank is a container or reservoir that temporarily holds oil in the various stages of processing into other oil products, or before it is used or consumed. Based on location, oil storage tanks may be classified as surface or above ground, semi subterranean and subterranean or underground tanks. The structure and materials of oil storage tanks depend on their intended use and the environmental, safety and other legal requirements in the storage location.

Feature used – 2d sketch, fillet, extrude, mirror, curve driven pattern.

  • Pedal – Pedal is used to rest he leg on it to ride comfortable.

Feature used – 2d sketch, extrude, fillet, liner pattern, chamfer.

  • Front and Rear wheel – Wheels are the only parts without whom the bike cannot be move from one destination to other.

Feature used – 2d sketch, boss extrude, cut extrude, fillet, chamfer, revolve, revolve cut, circular pattern, linear pattern.

Front Wheel

Rear Wheel

  • Front Fork - This part carries the major function of just holding the front wheel and guiding the bike.

Features used – 2d sketch, revolve, cut extrude, boss extrude, sweep, mirror, dome, linear pattern, projected curve.

  • Chassis - This is the main part of the bike which carries the load of engine, gas tank.

Feature used – 2d sketch, revolve, revolve cut, fillet, chamfer, mirror, dome, projected curve, sweep.

  • Engine – Engine is the heart of the bike.

Feature used - 2d sketch, boss extrude, revolve, revolve cut, fillet, thin extrude, chamfer, linear pattern, circular pattern, projected curve.

  • Asssembly - Asssembly is nothing but putting all parts together and giving them the mates with proper dimensions and angles.
  • Rendering - Rendering is the realistic photoview which is the perfect example to show how actually a bike looks in reality.
