Challenge

ANSYS FLUENT - Gate Valve Parametric Study

Aim

To perform a parametric study on the gate valve simulation by setting the opening from 10% to 80%.

Model

Fluid volume

The fluid volume is generated to get rid of the unwanted solid regions which doesn't affect the fluid flow. We us Spaceclaim to generate it.

Mesh

Base size = 10 mm

Conclusion

As the valve opens from 10 to 80% the mass flow increases.
