Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge
Fender design-Wheel Arc Challenge
Objective: To calculate the wheel arc area and decide whether the given wheel passes the European standards.
Wheel Arc:
The semi circular part of the fender which is positioned over the wheel to protect the passengers and also the pedestrians from the mud, stones etc. The design of the wheel arc should be such that it satisfies the standards set by OEM of the country.

Method to follow to check whether a wheel arc satisfies European standards:
- Create a Datum plane and on the extreme edge of the wheel.
- Make sketches according to the European standards.
- Project the points onto the edge of the fender.
- Measure the perpendicular distance between the projected point and the point on the datum plane.
