Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge

There are different fender regulations and it includes the American standards, European Standards and that of Japanese Standards. Here we are checking and analysing whether the given wheel arch follows European standards.

a - length : Radial length between the outermost boundary of the wheel and the lowermost boundary of the fender. According to European standards, the a-length value should be atleast 10 mm.The above mentioned snapshots clearly shows the different values. In the case of point 1, it shows a value of 43.63 mm(apprx.), then for point 2, it shows a value of 25.9920 mm, point 3 value corresponds to 38.3597 mm, point 4 value corresponds to 53.7081 mm, point 5 value corresponds to 78.6713 mm. From the above values, it is clear that it satisfies and obeys the a-length criteria according to the european standards.

L - length : Axial length between the outermost boundary of the wheel and the lowermost boundary of the front fender. According to European standards, the L-length value should be atleast 10 mm.The above mentioned snapshots clearly shows the different values. In the case of point 1, it shows a value of 10 mm, then for point 2, it shows a value of 9.9489 mm, point 3 value corresponds to 0.112637 mm, point 4 value corresponds to 9.4532 mm, point 5 value corresponds to 21.8019 mm. From the above values, it is clear that it does not satisfies and obeys the L-length criteria according to the european standards.

Conclusion : From the above values and final measurements, it can be concluded that the given fender does not obeys and pass the European standards.
