Fender Design Challenge
FENDER DESIGN OF CAR
fender is the part of automobile motore cycle or other vehicle body thet frame s awheel well ( the fender underside). its primary purpose is it prevent sand ,mud, rocks, liquids, and other road apray from being throgh in to the air by the rotating tire. fenders are typically rigid and can bedamaged by contact with the road surface.

there are the two types if fender
1 - full bumper type
2 - half bumper type

mounting
1 - bumper mount
2 - cowl mount
3 - sill mount
4 - body mount
5 - A piller mount
Master section of Drip Area

INPUT FROM STYLING TEAM
class a surface

* DRIP AREA
1 - it is the area through which fender is attached to the engine housing through fasteners.
2 - there should be some cosidreation followed to design the drip area of fender .
3 - from back side of frent fender there will be 200mm clearance for cow (wiper motor ) mounting area.
4 - from front side front fender , there will be 150mm clearence for HEAD LAMP HOUSING UNIT.
5 - remaning area we can use to design a drip area.
6 - height of fender can be minimum 80mm for child and adult (94mm, WAD 1700MAX,this +14 for increase in inertial force due to accident.
7 - parting will minimum 5 not more than 50mm from SRL ( A refrence line on hood side a point on fender makes from a line of 45 degree feom ground level.
8 - drip area will not reach the engine assembly due to restriction of 40mm length, so there will some L- shape bracket to connect with it.
creating drip area following given master section regulation and standard
draft angels and fillet
creating embosess

the wheel arch is the semi-circular part positioned above the wheel of a vehicle.
JAPAN REGULATION STANDARD
The value will be more than 5mm at 30 degree at forword and 50 degree backward from central verticle line.
EUROPEAN REGULATION STANDARD
The value will be more than 10mm at 30 degree at forword and 50 degree backward and line 150mm above x-axis and midpoint between 50degree and line above 150mm.
US REGULATION STANDARD
The value will be more than 5mm at 30 degree at forword and 50 degree backward from central verticle line.
create bumper mount

A mounting area of fender to bumper (horizantal bar fixed across the front or back of a motor vehicle toreduce damage in acollision).
cowl mount

sill mount area

The mounting area at the panel(metal plate) directly below the bottom of the door supporting the floor and may be used to aombine floorand body.
body mount area

A piller mounting area

The A-piller on your car hold either side of the front wind screen in place they are once you see you look straight at the car from the front
fender design drat thickness value = 0.75mm
