• OBJECTIVE

Draw the drip area, sillmount area, bumper area and A-pillar mount area.

• Theory

A car fender is a rigid vehicle panel that houses the wheel well. It forms an arch that is designed to protect the wheel and prevent road debris such as rocks, sand, and mud from being thrown into the air by the spinning tire. A pair of front and rear fenders can be found on each side of a vehicle.

There are two types of fender in now times full body and half body fender. But in today\'s time we use half fender type because of its low weight and also used less steel to make this type fender. Which also affect to lower the cost of car redduce in mass production

1. WHILE desinging front fender the angle gap b/w Hood and fender is 3 degree minimum.
2. THe fender mounting area in engine bay or drip sholud not be deeper than 40 mm. BEcause if it is ddeeper then 40mm then it will be diffcult to produce part.
3. The gap b/w engine and mounting area for fender should be 10mm or more than 10mm.
4. THE fender part is mount to car body by fastners.
5. Proving emboss to add strength.
6. While desing Drip area Providing the 150mm gap for head light housing from front of fender and also providing enough clearence of abount 300 or less from back of fender for easy installation of component in engine bay.
7. Provinding the relife at sharp edges using command like curve in surface. And also provinding fillet at all sharp egdes.

• FRONT FENDER MOUNTING UNITS ARE AS FOLLOWS

1. A PILLAR

A Pillar where the fender is fasterns with the body of car Aslo A-Pillar provide car some strength.

2. SILLMOUNT

Sillmount area is near the door downside part where the fender and body is connected with fastners.

3. BUMPER

Bumper is Part of car which are plactic and also reduce the imapact on car. Bumper is mounted on front and back of car. Bumper aslo Provide safety for other cars and pedestrain.

4. DRIP AREA

Drip mount area where it is conected inside the hood with fastners near engine room.

SPLASH MOUNT AREA

In order to stop debris to enter the engine bay , strike suspension and stop water in raininy sesssion tp enter the gaps of cars

MEASUREMENT the fender for clearence. For more precise measurment first creating datum plane and themn go into analysis tool tab then select the simple distance tool.
