Fender Design
- Fender:
The portion of the car that encloses the wheel is called the fender. The fender's main function is to stop rolling tires from launching sand, mud, gravel, etc. into the air, which might hurt pedestrians.
2. Fender's Design Features:
There are two kinds of fenders:
1. Full Type Bumper
2. Half Type Bumper

3. Design Features of Fender:
A. Drip area Mount :

It is the crucial fender mounting unit. Since it is related to the engine compartment, there are some design guidelines that must be adhered to when creating the fender.
1. The drip area must first have 200–300 mm set out for the cowl top. When creating the fender, we must leave at least 150 mm at the front for the headlamp.
2. The instruments and wiper motor are located in the cowl top section.
3. In order to give the part stiffness and strength, two darts are inserted on the longer side of the drip region. This keeps the fender from vibrating and interacting with external forces when the car is moving.
4.On the mounting, there are embosses to strengthen them during fastening.
B. Bumper Area Mount :
1. The purpose of the bumper mounting area is to employ screws to secure the plastic bumper to the fender.

C. A-Pillar Mount Area:
The structural pillar that joins the body to the roof is called the A-Pillar. As a result, the windshield's sides also rest. Front fenders are bolted to the A-Pillar to create a strong framework.

D. Sill Area Mount:
The sill, which can be employed to link the floor and the body, is the panel that supports the floor just below the bottom of the door. The sill mounting location is built with holes and an embossment because the bottom end of the fender is fastened on the sill body for reinforcement of the fender panel.

E. Baffle Mount Area:
1. Mudguards or baffle mountings are clip-fit mountings that cover the tire on the inside of the fender arch.
2. It guards against road debris chipping out while the car is moving, which could injure pedestrians or the engine compartment.

The minimum thickness of the sheet metal body is 0.075 mm, so the thickness to the model provided by using the Thickning Command.
