OBJECTIVE : To design a front fender of a car from the given CLASS-A Surface by following the given master section in NX CAD.

MOUNTING AREAS OF A FENDER :

1. Drip Mounting Area : Fender drip area is the important mounting unit of the fender. This mounting is attached to the engine compartment of the car. Fender drip area is mounted via weldnuts to the engine compartment.

2. Bumper Mounting Area : Bumper mounting area is used to fix the plastic bumper to the fender with the help of fasteners.

3. Baffle Mounting Area : Baffle mounting is used to mount the mudguard on the inner side of the fender arch over the tyre using a special type of locking clips made up of plastics.

4. Sill Mounting Area : The bottom end of the fender is mounted on the sill body for reinforcement of the fender panel. M5 fasteners are used to fix the fenders on the sill body.

5. A-Pillar Mounting Area : A-Pillar is the structural pillar that combines the body with the roof. Front fenders are fastened to the A-pillar to form a robust strucure.

A thickness of 0.75 mm is given to the surface to produce a solid body.
