Fender Design

Report : Fender is considered as a very important part as it covers the side portion of the car. A fender protects the interior parts of a car from unwanted stones, mud etc. which will come along with the movement of the car or automobile and protects the interior parts from getting damaged. And it mainly protects the pedetrians from getting injured. Also, it provides an aesthetic appearance to the vehicle.

Fender is connected to the side portions of the car on the regions of Sill, Bumper, Drip, Baffle(Splash), and A-Pillar. The given mastersection was followed to design and develop the Drip area and appropriate mountings were created. Also, multiple darts were provided as a support to the drip area. Also, connecting and mounting regions in the sill, bumper, baffle(splash) and A-pillar parts were developed and finally the designed fender part was thickened to a value of 0.75 mm. And darts were also provided in other connecting regions. Variuos options such as edge blend, face blend, curve on face, project curve, trim sheet, offset curve, sketch, datum plane, emboss,thicken etc. were used to complete this challenge.
