Design of backdoor
Aim: develop the car Backdoor with the help of the reference given in the data
Back Door: Backdoor are one of the types of the door of the vehicle which is located next to the passenger seat and provides access to the luggage compartment. In most cars, these back doors are operated with the help of gas stay which in turn reduces the effort required to lift the door.

Types of Back Door :
- Top Mounted

- Side Mounted

- Bootom Mounted

Design Consideration :
- Visibility Criteria
- Latch and Stricker Position
- the Position of the hinge
- right Position of the gas stay
- Boot Space Availability
- Stricker position
- Hemming and Relief areas
- Aerodynamics
- Strength of the door
Components of Back Door :
The main components of the Back Door
- Backdoor Inner Panel
- Backdoor Outer Panel
- Hinges
- Latch and Stricker
- Gas stay
- Wiper motor

Gas stay Reinforcement :
A gas spring, also known as a gas strut, is a type of spring that, unlike a typical mechanical spring that relies on elastic deformation, uses compressed gas contained within an enclosed cylinder sealed.

Latch and Stricker :

Distribution of the equal force :
When the car hit the rear end, the force which acted should react outside. The Y emboss which is helps to move the force to the outer end.
Emboss is created for equal force distribution

Wiber motor Reinforcement :
It is a small electric motor which is mounted in the rear Tailgate. It is used to clean the rear windshield for clear visibility.

Hemming:
Hemming is a sheet metal forming process in which sheets are joined by bending them usually to 180°. Automotive body panels and automotive parts such as deck lids, trunk lids, doors, hoods and tailgates are formed by the hemming process.
