Creation of Multiple viewports, Scaling the drawing and setting in Template in AutoCad

AIM:  To Creat the Multiple viewports, scsling the drawing and setting in Template in AutoCAD.

INTRODUCTION:

There are two types of viewports in AutoCAD: Model space viewport and layout space viewport

Viewports are areas that display  different views of your drawing or model

• Layout vewport are object it you can scale to display the vide of your drawing on a layout tab for ublising and production.
• Model viewports split the drawing space into one or more rectangular areas called model space viewports

 In large or complex drawing, displaying different views reduces the time needed to zoom or pan in a single view. This viewport can be comfigured from the view tab on the ribbon.

There are different model spave viewports cofigurations like single, two, vertical , horizontal etc., These configurations can be saved and restored by name with the VPORTS command or pulling down the viewport cofiguration form the ribbon.

When using multiple vieports, the one that is highlighted with a blue rectangle is called the current viewport, the remaining viewports will be displayed grey as for not used.

 General Commands are used for Diagram:

• Line: Used to draw different entities like walls windows etc.
• Xline or Construction line: This is used to draw infinite lines which are very much essential in developing sections and elevation.
• Offset: This command also used ectensively to develop the same properties' to the copy of another one
• Trim: This tools is used to remove or erase the unwanted line.
• Extend: It is used to extend a line to joint the edge of another line or opposite line.
• Mirror: This tool is used to mirror/flip an object.
• Hatch: This tool is used to provide the approriate hatching to defferent portions.
• Fillet: This tool is very much essential in developing corners wherer the radius can be provided as whatever need.
• Layer: This enable such to assign different properties to different entities in a very easy way.
• Block: This feature is useing for any kind of material like furnitures, door, window etc., are creat with differend size and  to insert the wherever its need in the plan form directly taken in the Blocks.
• Annotation: In this command are used for mention the Text and Dimension of the plan.

DEFAULT PROCEDURES:

• Open the AutoCAD application from my desktop 
• Click file menu select New to creat a New Diagram
• Select Default setting for Metric (Milli Meter) or Imperial (feet and inches) setting for whatever need for Given diagram
• In default setting click is use a wizard and in that advance setting and set unit as Decimal, Engineering,or Architectural Etc. precission as 0 Press Enter.
• Set Angle Measurement as EAST  
• Set Angle Direction as Counter-Clockwise direction
• Set Area of drawing provides for as per given diagram size, Because of will Draw the whole drawing for in single page or separate New sheet.
• Finish
• And Keep Ortho ON And where its neccesary to off the ortho can off
• Object snap ON
• Enter.

Q1. Lyout of Plan:

Aim: To creat the layout of the plan and section A of the challenge 7, using the template Tutorial-mArch.dwt. use the MV command to creat the viewport used ATTEDIT to edit the information in the title block. Use A1 for the layout and take a plot.

Step by Step Procedure:

• To creat the viewport, intially take the 7th week challenge that is already created, adn from that keep the plan and sectiona.
• 
• To creat model view
• Now in the command prompt type v to creat the model view of the plan and section 
• Then dprovide the view name and choose the boundary option
• 
• 
• Now click ok then aplly and again ok
• Hence, the model view is created.
• 
• Then i changed the layou name ,-->right click Select RENAME -->change the name as A1-FLOOR_PLAN, A1 is the sheet size six sheet because we diagram was drafted in Metric (mm)
• To page setup Manager
• Now type Page setup in the command prompt and page setup manager dialouge box appear on display 
• 
• Then modify the setting what we need Paper size, Printer/plotter name 
• Of we need to select plot style (pen assignment ) can we change 
• Then plot area, scale size are selected then clixk ok
• 
• To creat layout
• Now in the command prompt type Layout then select Template, from that choose Tutorial-mArch.dwt and insert it.
• 
• 
• Hence a new layout is created 
• Now choose the MV command to creat the multiviewport 
• Then choose the MV command 
• Specifyt the viewport -->2
• Specify the view port Arrangement -->Horizontal 
• Specifyt eh first corner then to grap the cursor the lower right cornet clike the viewport are ready.
• To Creat the dimention and text by using DIMLINE command ann mul;tiline text by using Annotation, changed the text height and arrow size in Annotation properties.
• 
• Then use MS Command prompt to zoom in and out the views in the viewport and PS command to return ban to paper space where somming in and out is not possible
• Now to select the scal as given diagram to fit the diagrame scale of 1:50
• Then select the diagrame by using PS command 
• Then go to the properties  Turn on the display locked.
• 
• To take Plot 
• Now we have to plot the drawing for that again go to  page setup or  enter Command for plot and provide the name of the plotter as DWG to PDF.pc3.

 Q2. Kitchen Layout:

Aim: To creat the layout of the kitchen drawn in challenge 9 and use A4 size page for the layout and take a plot

Step by Step Procedure:

• To creat the viewport, intially take the 9th week challenge that is already created.
• 
• To creat model view
• Now in the command prompt type v to creat the model view of the kithcen planThen dprovide the view name and choose the boundary option
• 
• Now click ok then aplly and again ok
• Hence, the model view is created.
• 
• Now go to layout option in the window
• Type PAGESETUP  in the command prompt and page setup manager dialouge box opens.
• To select new --> provide the name as KITCHEN
• 
• Then modify the setting provide the size of the paper A4 size sheet because, diagram was drafted in Metric (mm) , then provide the plot area as layout and then click ok
• 
• Hence a new layout is created 
• Now choose the MV command to creat the multiviewport 
• Then choose the MV command 
• Specifyt the viewport -->4
• Specify the view port Arrangement -->Horizontal 
• Specifyt eh first corner then to grap the cursor the lower right cornet clike the viewport are ready.
• Then use MS Command prompt to zoom in and out the views in the viewport and PS command to return ban to paper space where somming in and out is not possible
• Now to select the scale in given diagram to fiixed the diagrame of scale of 1:1 for Aove Counter plan and 1:2 for Beloa Counter Plan
• To Creat the dimention and text by using DIMLINE command and multiline text by using Annotation, changed the text height and arrow size in Annotation properties.
• Then select the diagrame by using PS command 
• Then go to the properties  Turn on the display locked.
• 
• To take Plot 
• Now we have to plot the drawing for that again go to  page setup or enter Command for plot and provide the name of the plotter as DWG to PDF.pc3.
•

 Q3. Industrial Building Section Layout:

Aim: To creat the layout of the Section createdd in challenge 9 and take a plot

Step by Step Procedure:

• To create the viewport, initially take the 9th week challenge that is already created and in that take the industrial Building section.
• 
• To creat model view
• Now in the command prompt type v to creat the model view of the kithcen planThen dprovide the view name and choose the boundary option
• 
• Now click ok then aplly and again ok
• Hence, the model view is created.
• 
• Now go to layout option in the window
• Type PAGESETUP  in the command prompt and page setup manager dialouge box opens.
• To select new --> provide the name as  Indutrial building
• 
• Then modify the setting provide the size of the paper A4 size sheet because , diagram was drafted in Metric (mm) , then provide the plot area as layout and then click ok
• 
• Hence a new layout is created 
• Now choose the MV command to creat the multiviewport 
• Then choose the MV command 
• Specifyt the viewport -->3
• Specify the view port Arrangement -->Horizontal 1 And vetrical 2
• Specifyt eh first corner then to grap the cursor the lower right cornet clike the viewport are ready.
• Then use MS Command prompt to zoom in and out the views in the viewport and PS command to return ban to paper space where somming in and out is not possible
• Now to select the scale in given diagram to fiixed the diagrame of scale of 1:100 for Fll sectio view figureplan and 1:30 for Bottom 2 croped figure
• To Creat the text by using mulltiline text by using Annotation, changed the text height size in Annotation properties.
• Then select the diagrame by using PS command 
• Then go to the properties  Turn on the display locked.
• 
• To take Plot 
• Now we have to plot the drawing for that again go to  page setup or enter Command for plot and provide the name of the plotter as DWG to PDF.pc3.
•
