Align the floor plan with grids created from week 2.

AIM:To create the Floor layout in the ground floor level by using the project file created froom week 2

TOOLS USED:

RESULT:

The Floor is created with the required thickness and with the suitable material by using the architectural tab and the properties Browser successfully. Grids are Aligned.

2) Add walls based on the floor layout. Pick lines or use the draw tool to modify the boundary of walls. Use the property browser to select appropriate material and thickness for walls. After creating the walls verify using the property browser to see if the top and bottom of the walls are constrained.

a. Based on your observation, what is beneficial for connecting walls with associated levels rather than being Unconnected.
b. Which option is convenient for modeling walls, By Height or By Depth?

AIM:To Add Walls Based on floor Layout and Modifying the Boundary wall and selecting appropriate material and thickness for walls and verifying Wheather the top and bottom walls are constrained.

TOOLSUSED:

Draw tool

Property browser

PROCEDURE:

STEP-1:Open the model that you have drawn already .

STEP-2:Go to Architectural tab>Wall>Wall:Architecture>properties>Edit type .A Type properties dialouge box appears click on edit .

STEP-6: select the Walls Upto Level 2 and Click Apply. Now all the walls will bw in same height.

RESULT:

The Walls Are created with the suitable Material and thickness by using properties browser and verified the constraints of the wall successfullly.

a. Based on your observation, what is beneficial for connecting walls with associated levels rather than being Unconnected.

Based on my observation When we connect the Walls upto the assosiated levels we don't have much work because all the wall are directly erected upto the level we need not to further change the each height of the wall .When the walls are Unconnected its takes much time to edit each wall upto the same level.

b. Which option is convenient for modeling walls, By Height or By Depth?

Height option is convenient than the Depth

3) Copy the model elements ( wall, floor ) modelled to Ground Floor Level and paste it aligned to First Floor Level . Use modify tab to utilize copy and paste options to align
elements to a different level.

AIM:To Copy the model elements modelled to ground floor Level and paste it aligned to First Floor Level by using the modify tab.

TOOLS USED:

Modify tab

Paste

copy

PROCEDURE:

STEP-1:Firstly,Select the model that you have created for Ground floorlevel.

STEP-2:Select the Modify toolbar >copy>paste>Aligned to selected views >Floor plan level 2 .Then click ok.

STEP-3: Now you will be able to view the ground floor plan in the Level-2.

The above are for examples. You can use them or use your measured entities to create your model based on your layout. You may include entry walkway, Patios or Guest
rooms based on your creativity and purpose of modeling. Convert units if you are using metric system.
