Creating Levels, Grids, Layout and model elements for a residential unit using REVIT

 PROCEDURE FOR THE PROJECT:

After the revit is open we can see the sample project options like archetech,structural etc the apropreate file is taken but for now as for our requirement,new option is selected a window is displayed showing the project templet type for my convience imperial templet Is taken by using the option browes.

The view is converted into east elevation.using the structure option level option is taken and the levels are incerted on the sheet in the given dimentions.

 And again the view is changed to level one of groundfloor and grid option is used to form the grids with the given offsets.

A layout is created in the new sheet and the the walls are rised to the height of 12’.

Using the insert ,load option different type of familes like doors,windows,beds,chairs ect are incerted.

BIM

BIM is defined as building information modeling.

It is not a particular softwere it consist of set of softwares that gives the information of the in various aspects.like cad staad revit Tekla etc.

In todays growing world it is more important to be equrate and the time of the project is to be with in the short span as possible.for this purposs it is needed to determine the quality and the quantity of the project before the project started for that purposs a set of softwares are used to determine the each and every detail of the project.

It also provides a special feature like cloud platform to work more than one person on single project.

Benifets of bim over 2d cad tools:

2d cad enables to draw only single line at a time only the line dig is first drawn and then using modefing tools thickness of the walls.2d and 3d is drawn in revit at a time.3d modeling is done very easy with bim.
