Q1. Create the layouts of the Kitchen and provide hatches pattern as shown. Also, use blocks wherever required. Provide appropriate dimensions in the plan. Assume the size of doors, appliances and others as per the standards.

Aim: To Create the Kitchen Layout and to Also, use proper dimension techniques to dimension the kitchen layout. Also, insert text wherever required.

All dimensions are in mm.

Procedure:

step 1:

  • units are set to mm
  • limits and limax are also set
  • zoom comand is also used

Steps for drawing Below Counter Plan

  • Open Auto Cad and enter UN (units command) in command box and make the type as decimal.
  • Select line command and draw a line of 4300 in X direction and a line of 3200 in Y direction and complete the rectangle.
  • Offset 230 towards all sides of the rectangle outside the figure.
  • Fillet all the offset edges.

  • Offset of 600 from top of the room to draw the kitchen platform and otta.
  • Give the offset as follows from left side 90 as first offset- 90mm as first offset, 1000mm for fridge, 600 for micro-oven, 450 for A1 part, 300 for A2/A3/A4, 900 for A5/A6/A7, and 300, 945 and 35 offsets.
  • Offset 12 mm to both sides in each corner of the room.
  • Offset 600mm from bottom in middle oF kitchen to draw platform.
  • Now enter offset as follows- 900, 450, 900, 450, 450, 450, 560, 35.

Steps for drawing Above Counter Plan

  • Open Auto Cad and enter UN (units command) in command box and make the type as decimal.
  • Select line command and draw a line of 4300 in X direction and a line of 3200 in Y direction and complete the rectangle.
  • Offset 230 towards all sides of the rectangle outside the figure.
  • Fillet all the offset edges.
  • Offset of 600 from top of the room to draw the kitchen platform ink and otta.
  • Give the offset as follows from left side 35 as first offset and again the offset as 965, 600, 2595.
  • Offset 12 mm to both sides in each corner of the room.
  • Offset 350 mm from bottom in middle of kitchen to draw platform.
  • Now enter offset as follows-35, 450, 900, 900, 900, 1010, 35.

Hatching of objects

  • Click Home tab-Draw panel-Hatch.
  • On the Properties panel Hatch Type list, select the type of hatch that you want to use.
  • On the Pattern panel, click a hatch pattern or fill.
  • On the Boundaries panel, specify the how the pattern boundary is selected:
  • Pick Points. Inserts the hatch or fill within a closed area that is bounded by one or more objects.
  • Select Boundary Objects. Inserts the hatch or fill within a closed object.
  • The selection method is retained until you change it.
  • Click an area or object to be hatched.
  • On the ribbon, make any adjustments as needed:
  • On the Properties panel, you can change the hatch type and colors or modify the transparency level, angle, or scale for the hatch.
  • On the expanded Options panel, you can change the draw order to specify whether the hatch and its boundary are displayed in front of or behind other objects.
  • Press Enter to apply the hatch and exit the command.
  • Hatch the brick wall with hatch type as ANS132 and hatch other part as solid and grey colour.

Q2. Create the elevation of the plan created in the Challenges 7 and apply proper hatch in the walls, doors, windows, and other architectural elements. Refer to the dimensions in Plans and sections in Challenges 7.

Aim: Creating the elevation plan of the challenge 7. And providing hatching to the drawing for walls, windows, doors etc.,

Introduction: The hatching is provided by using gradient type also. The hatching is done by combined of any two colours. The gradient type hatching is done in the drawing.

Procedure:

Type UN in the command line and set the units as decimal form

Now enter limits in the command line

Set lower limit as 0,0 and upper limit as 20000,20000

Type Z enter and A enter to fit the screen

First refer the drawing of the challenge 7 plan of the building

We can see the two windows and one verandah and bolcony of the each floor

Consider the height of the buildings that available in the drawing in challenge 7

Draw a line with the help of line tool

The height of the floor is drawn by offsetting the line of 2450

The sunshed is provided with a height of 2200

The 3 floors height is given

The ground floor height is given 2450

First floor height is given as 2850

Second floor height is given 2850

Third floor heoght is given 2850

The parapet wall height is given as 1000

The height of window is given from the slab is 1000

Now the window is designed same as in the question

Now after drawing the window the window drawing is copied and placed same as in the question

Each floor the one window is provided

After providing the window now the verandah is drawn

Drawing the rectangle by using line tool

The internal design is provided same as in the question

The bellow drawing shows the verandah drawing

Now copy the drawing and place in the 2nd floor and 3rd floor

The below drawing the shows the drawing

Same the windows are copied on other side of tjhe drawing same as on the question

Now for bolcony

The bolcony is provided on the slab its slef

The support is drawn for the bolcony

The sunshade is also provided for the bolcony also

The bolcony drawing is copied and placed same as in the qestion

The below diagram is comes after placing the all the windows and verandah and bolcony\

The awning structure is drawn for the staircases

The stucture height is given as 2500

And the over head tank is provided on the structure

The door is drawn with a door frame

After completion of drawing now its time for hatching

Type hatch in the command line

And go to the option setting

It opens the dialog box of the hatching

Select the gradient option and select the colour 1 & 2 thatwhich give to the drawing of elevation

Now after hatching the wall of the building

The hatching is done to the window frames

Again go to the hatching command

select the solid pattern

Select the colour of lighten brown

After selecting the colour and pattern of the hatch click on the add pick point

Select the area to which we gonna hatch

We can also edit the hatch colour and selected suitable colour for it

Result:

Q3. Create the section view of an industrial building as shown in Figure. Provide appropriate hatches and dimensions wherever required. Also, provide annotations to the drawing.

AIM: To create the section view of an industrial building.

PROCEDURE:

  • In the command prompt type I to draw the lines.
  • In the Ribbon bar > Hatch > AR.CONC.

  • In the command prompt type rec to draw the rectangle.
  • In the command prompt type LT to get the dotted line

  • In the command prompt type Mt to draft the text
