Creating Kitchen layout, Hatching of Architectural elements and sectional view of an Industrial Building in AutoCad

`1.Create the layouts of the Kitchen and provide hatches pattern as shown. Also, use blocks wherever required. Provide appropriate dimensions in the plan. Assume the size of doors, appliances and others as per the standards.

AIM :

To craete a kitchen layout and to also, use proper dimension techniques to dimension the kitchen layout, also insert text wherever required.

PROCEDURE :

Step 1:

  • units are set in (mm)
  • limits and limax are also set
  • zoom command is also used

Steps for drawing below counter plan :

(all dimensions are in mm)

  • in the command type rectangle of length>4300 & bredth>3200
  • in the command offset 230 of rectangle as shown in fig
  • using trim command erase unwanted lines
  • offset 600mm from top of the room to draw the kitchen layout
  • give the offsets as follows from left 90 as first, 1000 for fridge, 600 for micro oven , 450 for A1 part, 900 for A5 /A6 /A7 and 300, 945,35.
  • offsets 12 mm in both sides each sidecorner of the room
  • offset 600 mm from of the kitchen
  • now enter offset as follows, 900,450,900,450,450,450,560,35.

Steps for drawing above counter plan :

(all dimensions are in mm)

  • in the command type rectangle of length>4300 & bredth>3200
  • in the command offset 230 of rectangle as shown in fig
  • using trim command erase unwanted lines
  • offset 600mm from top of the room to draw the kitchen layout
  • give offsets as follows, 35, 965,600,2595.
  • offsets 12 mm in both sides each sidecorner of the room
  • offset 350mm from bottom ofmiddle of the kitchen to draw platform
  • now enter offsets as follows , 35,450,900,900,900,1010,35.

Hatching of objects :

  • select the hatch type, that you want to use.
  • click the hatch pattern to fill
  • on the boundaries pannel , specify how the pattern boundary is selected.
  • pick points insert the hatch,
  • the selection method is retained until changed.
  • hatch the brick wall with hatch type as ANS132 hatch other part as solid and grey colour,

BELOW COUNTER PLAN :

ABOVE COUNTER PLAN :

FINAL RESULT :

2. Create the elevation of the plan created in the Challenges 7 and apply proper hatch in the walls, doors, windows, and other architectural elements. Refer to the dimensions in Plans and sections in Challenges 7.

Refer to the elevation that needed to be created.

AIM :

To create the elevation and hatching the structural and non structural elements of the buildings like wall ,column etc.,

PROCEDURE :

Steps for drawing structure :

  • select the line command and extend the lines from the plan in the downward manner to create projections.
  • offset 150mm from the ground level
  • offset 2450 for ground floor
  • offset 2850 for second floor
  • offset 2850 for third floor
  • offset 1000 for parapet wall
  • offset 2500 fromm terrace level to mumty
  • offset 450mm from mumty to parapet wall of mumty
  • offset 600 &1200 for o.t.h
  • for drawing of staircase, 250mm for tread and 143.75 for rise
  • offset 125mm below floor level for slab.
  • draw the chajjas and windows as per the standard size.
  • draw railing of staircase in dash manner
  • give the dimensions as per shown above
  • select the multi line text for naming the text.

Hatching of objects :

  • click-home tab - draw panel- hacth
  • select hatch type that u want to use
  • click the pattern that you want.
  • boundaries panel , specify how the boundaries are selected,
  • pick points insert the hatch,
  • the selection processs is retained until you changed it,
  • click on area or object to hatch,
  • on the properties panel you can change the hatch colour, type or modify the transparency level , angle or scale the hatch.
  • please enter to apply the hatch and exit the command,
  • hacth the brick wall with hatch type as brick, and hatch the other part as concrete as air conc.

FINAL RESULT :

3. Create the section view of an industrial building as shown in Figure. Provide appropriate hatches and dimensions wherever required. Also, provide annotations to the drawing.

AIM :

To create section view of the industrial building .

PROCEDURE :

  • In the command prompt , type l to draw the lines.
  • In the ribbon bar > Hatch >AR Conc
  • In the command type rec to darw the rectangle,
  • Type LT to get dotted lines,
  • Type MT to draft the text,
