Creating Conceptual mass in REVIT and Creation of Sinusoidal curve and a Parametric stadium using Dynamo

1.

  •  Open the Architectural template and go to manage tab
  • select dynamo and go to new option
  • start the process by inserting three integer silder
  • this can be done by typing code block in the library search panel
  • one block named (value-5)
  • second one(-200)
  • Third one(value-1)
  • Type the rangr in library and insert it
  • connect the three blocks
  • now search the coordinates in panel
  • connect the range block to x coordinate of the point
  • Then connect to Y coordinate of the points
  • Hence, the set of sinusoidal points are obtained
  • convert them to curve
  • It can be created from nurbscurve
  • Search nurbscurve in library and choose curves by control points
  • now connect the points by coordinate block as input for the nurbs curve, a line will be developed
  • sinusoidal curve is developed
  • Develop surface
  • Create a group for easiness
  • this can be done by selecting input block and go to edit option and create node
  • Groped together
  • Copy the entire block two times
  • adjust phase to view the two curves
  • Create the surface
  • Create list and search
  • connect all the output of the sine curves
  • This will serve as input and creatr the surface

 2.

  • Open new template- manage tab and open dynamo then take new
  • to create wall first create four control points.
  • Search points by coordinates in the search panel
  •  orgin name as(0,0,0)and rest is named as accordingly
  • provide two integer slider and provide values
  • Connect these points by a line
  • Search line by start and end points and insert 4 blocks
  • Input these blocks by points
  • layout of floor plan obtained
  • Search wall in panel and choose curve and height
  • Input curve, height, levels and wall type
  • for curve, combine all four lines ina list by choosing list
  • for height another slider is choosen and name it as height
  • for level search level in the search panel it will contain the levels available in revit folder
  • For wall search wall type and it will display wall types

 3.

  • Open new arch template
  • Open Architectural tab-columns- Arch column- place column
  • Properties of model elements re varied using dynamo
  • open dynamo
  • search for model elements, integer slider, set rotation
  • rename integer slider as rotation angle
  • select the element, block will be the input for family instance and integer slider

 4

  • open revit- new- conceptual mass- mass
  • Go to the elevation view and create a level
  • Using the Spline tool to draw desire
  • Now create a profile to sweep through the curve
  • Set the workplane at the points and develop a polygon at the workplace keeping the point at the centre and the polygon is developed
  • Workplane and polygon is developed at all nodes
  • Create the surface which done through sweep
  • Select all Polygon and the curve line and choose create from option
  • Select the entire form and then filter and retain only the form
  • Select form- divide surface- provide the pattern
  • Open new family- curtain panel pattern
  • Select pattern
  • Create the reference point at centre
  • Draw the radius of the circle at the reference point
  • Select the pattern, reference plane, circle created
  • Load into project
  • select the entire from the walkway and filter it to retain
  • Select the family

5.

  • Initially open new arch template and then dynamo
  • Basic parameters for high rise structure is created
  • Four integer slider
  • insert code block from library to combine level
  • connect the integer sliders as levels and floor height
  • Search coordinates by orgin in the library and insert it
  • connect the code block as input
  • 5 points are generated
  • intert rectangle by size
  • input required are length, width and coordinate system
  • insert slider
  • connect the input for rectangle block
  • rotate the geometry
  • insert the rotate block
  • Create surface for this type surface
  • Connect Geometry Rotate block
  • parametric stadium have been created
  • Number of levels and width and length can be varied
