Creating a Residence Layout, Seating plan, Toilet and Utility room plan using AutoCad
CHALLENGE-1
Q] Residence Plan: Draw the layout of a residence as given in the Figure 1. examine all dimensions as reference to draw the unit plan. Also the texts in the layout are only for reference. Suppose the absent dimensions. Also, refer the schedule for size of the doors.
Aim- To sketch the provided residential plan in detail.

Procedure-
Step-1
- First open the AutoCAD, then we have to choose the Limmax command for ultimate limit of the AutoCAD sketching screen.
- And choose the limits command for minimum limit of the auto cad screen.
- First off all we have to enter the line command and sketch the line upwards with the length of 43'-6.5".
- Next sketch the line forward with the length of 25' from the earlier line.
- Next sketch the line downwards with length of 43'-6.5" from the earlier line.
- Next sketch the line between the first line of first point and last line of last point.
Step-2
- Next enter the offset command in the command box, then thumb enter.
- And choose the lines which we have drawn earlier and offset the lines to 9.0".
Step-3
- Next provide the place for parking of length 11'-9" and width 13'-9.5" from the distance of 12'-6" from the left side.
- The picture with the parking is given below.
Step-4
- Next we have to trim the entrance part of length 12'-4".
- Next offset the wall up to the length of 6' and offset that line to 9.0" as given in picture.
Step-5
- We draw a verical line of length 6'-8.0" from earlier line and once more sketch another line left side of length 6'-4.0" to generate the kitchen room.
- Then the picture with kitchen will be given below.
Step-6
- Next sketch the toilet room of length 8'-3" and width of 4'-6", with line command and offset command.
- Next sketch another toilet room with length of 8'-1.5" and width of 4'-6".
Step-7
- Sketch the bed room 1 of length 11'-7.5" and width of 12'-0", with line command and offset command.
- Next draw another bed room 2 with length of 11'-6" and width of 12'-0".
- Sketch the stairs left side of parking with 1' tread and 6' riser, which is given in picture accurately.
Step-8
- Next we have to sketch the doors with the provided dimensions for D1, D2, D3.
- And also give the names for the rooms in the residential building.
After sketching the doors ultimately we have to put the dimensions for each part in the residential plan which we have drawn in AutoCAD.
Result- The provided residential plan is sketched successfully in AutoCAD.
CHALLENGE-2 Draw the seating plan for an outdoor canopy. Suppose the dimensions for the seating. Also, examine the dimensions in mm.
Aim- To sketch the provided seating plan for an outdoor conopy in detail.
Introduction- A canopy is an overhead roof or else a structure over which a fabric or metal covering is fixed, enable to give shade or shelter from weather conditions such as sun, hail, snow and rain.
A canopy can also be a tent, mostly without a floor. The seating plan of outdoor canopy is places in many places, like receptions, restaurants etc,.

Procedure-
Step-1
- First we have to open the AutoCAD and choose the limits of lower left corner and the upper right corner.
- Next choose the unit command for setting the units as decimals and precision as 0.00.
- Next sketch the circle of radius 1398.00
Step-2
- After generating the first circle, once more we have to choose the circle command.
- Next we have to sketch the circle with the radius of 452.00 innner the circle.
Step-3
- Next here we have to sketch the rectangle inner the first circle, then we have to enter the fillet command and choose the rectangle corner to fillet it.
- Next we choose the arc command to generate arc left side of the rectangle.
- Once again then generate two triangles both sides of the earlier rectangle.
- Then sketch another rectangle left side of rectangle, create an arch with the third rectangle.
- Finally the seating was generated.
Step-4
- After generating the seating, then we have to copy the seating and paste to opposite side.
- Next likewise duplicate the seating and paste to the left side of the earlier seating.
- Next again duplicate the seating and paste the seating to the opposite side.
- After that put the dimensions for each part in the drawing.
Result- The provided seating plan for an outdoor canopy is sketched successfully in AutoCAD.
CHALLENGE-3 Sketch the part plan for the toilers and utilities room. Examine the outer wall thickness as 300mm and inner wall thickness as 150mm. Also, suppose the absent dimension, Texts, dimensions, and hatches are only for references. Also, symbols for toilets and w/c are also for references.
Aim- To sketch the part plan for the toilets and utilities in detail.
Introduction- A toilet room generally holds of clearly a toilet, lavatory and all of the accessories, such as grab bars and dispensers. There are many layouts of this type but we will inspect one very easy design and the code needs for each aspect. The advantage room has many utilizes but generally functions as an area to do laundry. This room holds laundry equipment such as a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and clothes iron. The room is also utilized for closet organization and storage. The room would generally hold a second coat closet which is utilized to collect seasonal clothing such as winter coats or clothing which are no longer utilized everyday.

Procedure-
Step-1
- First we have to open the AutoCAD and choose the limits of lower left corner and the upper right corner.

- First off all we have to choose the line command, And sketch line of length of 2350 mm towards right.
- And then we have to sketch line upards with the length of 4400 mm.
- Next from the earlier line from top we sketch line backside with the length of 2350 mm.
- Then meet the last line from the first line of first point and last line of last point.
- Then after we take the offset for outer wall with 300 mm, and inside wall with 150 mm.
Step-2
- Next we have to generate the door and window in advantage room.
- And we take the length of the door in advantage room is 828 mm and width is 828 mm.
- Next we generate the window in the advantage room of length 728 mm.
Step-3
- Next we have to generate the door and ventilator in toilet room.
- And we take the length of the door in toilet room is 832 mm and width is 832 mm.
- Next we generate the ventilator in the toilet room of length 631 mm.
Step-4
- Next we have to sketch the toilet basins and wash sink in the toilet room.
- For these toilet basins we utilize the rectangle command, fillet command, and arc command to generate them.
- For wash sinks also we utilize the same commands to generate the wash sinks.
Step-5
- After generating the all parts in the sketching we have to utilize the hatch command to hatch the walls.
- And also we have to hatch the windows, which are given in the picture below.
- Finally we put the dimensions for each part in the sketching.
Result- The provided part plan for the toilets and advantages room is skeched successfully in AutoCAD.
Final Result- The provided drawings are sketched successfully in the AutoCAD in elaborate manner.
