AIM: To create 3D isometric view of various structural elements
INTRODUCTION:
- Isometric drawing:
- These drawings are not actual 3D drawings, they are made with 2D geometries but they appear like. Isometric drawing in AutoCAD can be made by tilting viewing angle to 30 degree for all of its sides in the 2D plane.Isometric drawing can bow be easily created using the isodraft option in AutoCAD which enables us to switch between the planes. In AutoCAD, 3D modelling can be used to draw the isometric view of diffrent elements.
- Rendering AutoCAD:
- A realistics rendering of a 3D model give a clearer vision of a conceptual desing than a plotted drawing.
- Rendering is process of creating a raster image based on 3D object in a scene. A renderer is used to calculate the appearence of the material attached to the objects in a scene, and how lightings and shadows are calculated based on lights placed in a scene. Environmentl and exposure setttings of the renderer can be sdjested to control the final rendered image.
- The basic rendering workflow is to attach materials to the 3D objects of a model, place user defined lights, add a background and start the renderer with the RENDER command.
DEFAULT PROCEDURE:
- Open Autocad aplication from my desktop
- And change to 3D modelling int he setting and change the workspcae to 3D modelling
- Clik file menu to creat NEW PAGE
- Select default setting as Imperial or Metric what we need
- In default settin click on use a wizord and in that advance setting and set unit as Architectural, Engineering or Decimal etc., and precision as 0 0r 0',0' and press Next
- Set Angle as Decimal Degree and precision as 0 and click next
- Set Angle Measure as EAST and press next
- Set area by providing what we need as per our plan
- Press finish
- Keep prthp, Object snap> on
- Keep Snap and grid >off

- Now take line command to draw the window
- Take line command
- Speicyf the first point at mid of the right side wall

- To creat the Dimenaion style
- Click Annotation tab

- And draw the projection line of Elevation A Wall and window

- Specify the offset distance of 4"
- Specify the offset distance of 3'
- Specify the offset distance 7'
- Specify the offset distance of 10'
- Specify the offset distance of 6" as shown in below

- Now delete the unwanted line by using TRIM command
- And now take Linetype command -->Line type manager
- Load the line type ACAD_ISO02W100
- Global scale factor : 0.300
- Then change the line type for Iso dash....
- Now to provide Text and Dimension By using Annotation

To crea Elevation at B:
- Again take Xline command

- The following view port properties are used to created the View port for Quick view

To creat 3D Isometric View:
- Initiaaly To changed view for 3D isometric view form View cube on the display
- Then now to creat the Boundary
- Take BOUNDARY command the selct Object type--> Region,
- Current viewport -->New , press Ok


- Choose the EXTRUDE command
- Specify the Object the Extrude
- Specify the Extrude Height of 10'
- And apply the floor colour as shown in the below figure

- Now to creat the Window portion
- Take rectangle command for reerence on window portion
- Choose the EXTRUDE command
- Specify the Object the Extrude
- Specify the Extrude Height of 3'
- Now Merge the wall portion By using Union command as shown in below

- Now Take UCS command to set the UCS for where we draw on the Axis

Now to Creat Door Openin:
- First take UCS to put the face where we draw
- The Creat the door portion by using Rectangle command
- After that to Ectrude the Door
- Take EXTRUDE command
- Select the Extrude to Object
- Sepcify the Extrude Height-->230 mm wall thickness
- Now choose the SUBRACT command to separate the Door and Wall portion
- Now go to visual tab of the ribbon and choose the material browser and then assign material to each element.

- Then Enter the option for to provide name -->Name >cam1

- Camera lence> 35mm And Enter
