Benchmarking
BENCHMARKING
Benchmarking involves structured comparision between similar products, services or processes on some dimensions of performance.
Process benchmarking can operate at several levels:
- Between similar processes in the same factory or service branch.
- Between different factories or service branches.
- Between different competing organizations.
- Between different sectors using the same process.
Benchmarking remains an important tool and continues to provide motivation for change in many sectors.
Now, in this scenario we are benchmarking between different factories which manufacture the cars under the price range of 8 to 10 Lakhs.
Here 4 cars are selected for Benchmarking.

| PROS |
Adequately spacious, airy cabin owing to smart designing. Good drivability, has good mid range response, good for daily driving duties. |
Spacious cabin, Long wheel base. Power train is fuel efficient & deals with long drives reasonably well. |
Premium quality, quality along with finish is best in the segment. Effective chassis engineering/damping allows spirited cornering. |
NCAP saftey rating is the best in the segment. The engine responds well to throttle inputs and aid drivability. |
| CONS |
Familiar design it looks similar to Maruti's older Brezza. The ride quality is firm at slow speeds. |
Ride bounces at speed, noisy suspension. Does not have an exciting or great design. |
Tall people seated at the rear would feel uncomfortable. Not as dynamic when fully loaded, speed breakers need attention. |
The engine feels less refined fue to discernible shift shocks. Needs a make over, an update to design would help attract customers. |
After benchmarking of 4 Cars it can be decided that Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has much better features offering value for money.
As we can see it tops the list in
- Milage
- Dimensions
- Kerb Weight
- Fuel Tank Capacity & Range
- Boot Space.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is well within the budget of the customer & also customer is fond of big cars as well, he also drives long distance every month, so has adequate boot space for storage of his luggage & Range of the car is the highest compared with other cars.
So i would recommend the customer to buy Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
