Benchmarking is the process of comparison of similar products on some dimensions of performance Automotive Benchmarking is the process of analyzing the choices of similar products based on the selection factor and deducing it to final conclusion.
For example
If u takes 30 minutes to produce your product.how will you know whether you are utilising more time or less time.So The only way for you to know is to compare against other data, such as the time it takes another organization to produce a similar product. If another organization can produce the same type of product in less than 30 minutes, you can use their time as a benchmark for measuring your own product or process
