Assignment 5-RADIOSS Interfaces & Study of Effect of Notches Challenge
OBJECTIVE OF CHALLENGE: 1.Create a fine mesh of given model with 6mm size.
2.Run analysis of crash tube model in different given conditions and analyze energy difference and plot RWALL forces, contact forces and energies.

| Notch effects | since notch is available the deformation occured at notch.Notch far to rigid wall first till contact and then the notch closer to rigid wall.Highest contact force is 5.5533E+00. | Notch made the body to deform.First deformation occured at notch far from rigid wall and when this came into contact the applied force made to deform at the other notch i.e at closer to rigid wall.Deformation is valid to real life scenario and Max. contact force is 5.5533E+00. | Notaches are available in the model so the deformation pattern is similar to Cases I,II but contact force is higher than other two cases(i.e case-I,case-II) as 6.766E+01. | As Notches are deleted the deformation is completly different from before cases. Here the tube is deformed at rigid wall and contact forces are also generated there itself. The maximum contact energy is 7.336E+00. | The deformation at first took place for section in between rigid wall and notch of model, after complete crushing of that section the section from notch to other end under gone deformation. | As the notches are presented on the opposite faces, On the adjecent faces there has a bump to the normal and the section between rigid wall and bump there has a deformation at first and later the remaining section undergone deformation. |

CONCLUSION and RESULT:
- Meshed given model and checked elements quality and qualifyed as per rules.
- Modified and analyzed crush tube with referred conditions.
The internal energy risen to its highest when the energy error marked high all over the simulation and mostly after the partial simulation completed and after peek it stayed constant over time of simulation. The internal energy in CASES-I,II and III are same or nearly equal and also hase same energy loss, even though there some modification in contact interface and change in variable the deformation those bodies undergone are similar and hence all the bodies have similar internal energy.Case-V took high time and Case-VI has highest energy loss, but both has similar internal energy.Since CaseIV has no notches available it udergone high structural deformation and hence has highest internal energy of all cases with minium energy loss.
All the bodies shown similar pattern in deformation that is at first the deformation occurs in between rigid wall and notch section and later in between first notch section and second notch (if exsits) then comes the remaining section. For the case-IV where notches are absent the deformation occured first in pshell_2mm,pshell2_2mm and next for commopnents PSHELL1,PSHELL2.All these patterns are similar to real life scenario hence deformation is acceptable.
