YACHT DETAILED REPORT

Objective

The objective of this project is used to create a surface model of the different parts of the yacht using the solid works software.

To assemble the different parts of the yacht are also created by the solid works software.

Part Modelling

Part modelling is used to create a part by using the conceptual sketch through the solid based features, as well as build and modify parts through the direct graphical manipulation.

Surface Modelling

The surface modelling gives you the ability to build out a visual representation of an original structure of the exterior parts. In other words, we can call it is a surface.

Surface modelling plays a major role in modelling for this yacht. Most of the parts in the yacht are surface modeled.

Loft Surface

Loft surfaces are also the one of the surfaces which is used to generate to multiple curves or existing edges creating a smooth tangency between the selected curves.

Sweep Surfaces

Sweep surfaces are surfaces that are generated by using the section curves positioned along a path.

Filled Surface

The filled surface feature is used to constructs a surface patch with the many number of sides, within a boundary defined by existing model edges, sketches or curves including composite curves.

Surface Trim

The surface trim is used to keep or remove surfaces from the particular intersecting surfaces. There are two modes of Standard and Mutual.

Extend Surface

Extend surface is used to extend the surface by selecting the edges which is already created. There are different options available on the extended surface.

We can extend the surface as same surface or we can the extend tangential surface.

Surface Knit

Surface knit is used to knit the two free edges/open edges of the surfaces together. Also, it reduces the gap between the two edges of the surface.

1.Propeller

A Propeller is a fan mechanism that transmits from power by converting the rotational motion into thrust to move the yacht. Usually it consists three or more blades.

Sketch

Sketch is a two-dimensional representation of the model with respect to the plane from the outside of the mode.

Revolve

The revolve is a feature which is used to adding material by its cross-sectional sketch. By the center axis we can make the revolve.

Circular Pattern

Circular pattern is used to create a blade of the propeller. By using this circular pattern to make the blades easily.

Loft

Loft are surfaces generated by multiple 3D curves or existing edges creating a smooth tangency between the selected curves.

2.Radar

Marine radars are X band or S band radars on ships, used to detect other ships and the obstacles inside or outside the sea.

Extrude Cut

Extrude Cut is a one of the cool features which helps to remove materials from the 3D model.

Mirror

By using this mirror faces with a mid-plane selected only the chosen faces within the revolve will be mirrored.

3.Hull

A hull is the watertight body of a ship or boat. The hull may open at the top or it may be fully or partially covered with a deck.

The hull is big part of the yacht.

Assembly

The parts of the yacht are inserted into the assembly environment.

The possible mates’ conditions are given to the yacht and the yacht is assembled.

Conclusion

The parts of the yacht are modeled.

The parts of the yacht are assembled.

The rendering of the yacht is completed successfully.
