PROJECT

YACHT

AIM:

To model the Sunseeker Predator Yacht using solidworks design software.

OBJECTIVES:

To model the components of the yacht and assemble it to get a perfect shape of the yacht using solidworks and to the make yacht more realistic using photoview 360.

YACHT COMPONENTS:

  • Propeller
  • Radar
  • Hull
  • Garage Door
  • Front Seat
  • Middle Seat
  • Rear Seat
  • Superstructure
  • Radar Mast

PROCEDURE:

Propeller:

Propeller is a rotating part which is used in the yacht to give motion to the yacht by using rotational force.

Tools used

  • spline
  • Revolve
  • Reference Geometry
  • Loft
  • Fillet
  • Extrude Cut
  • Circular Pattern

Radar:

Radar is a device which is used to identify the signals and used to guide as to the location we want and it even senses rock which is before or the around the yacht using the wave frequency.

Tools used

  • Extrude
  • Fillet
  • offset entities
  • Pattern/Mirror
  • Cut Extrude
  • Text
  • Split Line

Hull:

Hull is the main part of the yacht because it only holds the other parts of the yacht and also which will be the one floats on the water.

Tools used

  • Blueprint setup
  • Sketch
  • Projected Curve
  • Surface Loft
  • Surface Trim
  • Surface Extrude
  • Surface Knit
  • Surface Fill
  • Shell
  • Fillet
  • Pattern Feature
  • Boss Extrude
  • Chamfer
  • Sweep
  • Split Body

Garage door:

The garage door is used to close the garage of the yacht to protect the things or product we kept in the garage.

Tools used

  • Sketch
  • Extrude Cut
  • Shell
  • Fillet
  • Mirror
  • Text

Seat:

Seat is used to get relaxation while travelling in the yacht.

Tools used

  • Sketch
  • Surface Sweep
  • Surface Offset
  • Ruled surface
  • Surface Knit
  • Surface Extend
  • Surface trim
  • Surface Extrude
  • Surface Loft
  • Chamfer
  • Fillet
  • Sweep
  • Mirror
  • Revolve
  • Dome

Front seat:

Front is placed at the front of the yacht.

Middle seat:

Middle seat is the seat placed at the center of the yacht.

Rear seat:

Rear seat is placed at the rear side of the yacht.

Superstructure:

Superstructure is the place were the yacht’s preformation is controlled and also it is the place were the radar frequency is also used.

Tools used

  • Sketch
  • Surface Extrude
  • Surface Sweep
  • Surface Knit
  • Fillet
  • Ruled Surface
  • Surface Trim
  • Surface Loft
  • Surface Extend
  • Boss Extrude
  • Dome Feature
  • Sweep
  • Extrude Cut
  • Chamfer
  • Project Curve
  • Mirror

Radar Mast:

Radar mast is used to detect the signal of the other boats and land to avoid collision between them.

Tools used

  • Sketch
  • Boss Extrude
  • Fillet
  • Revolve
  • Sweep
  • Project Curve
  • Chamfer
  • Mirror
  • Dome

Assembly of Yacht:

Each and every component of the Yacht model is completed and assembled in a perfect manner to achieve the structure of yacht using solidworks.

Rendering:

Rendering is used to give more realistic look to the yacht model using the photoview 360.

Conclusion

Thus, the modelling of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht is completed using the solidworks and the realistic view of the yacht is done by using photoview 360 in solidworks.
