PROJECT REPORT

SUNSEEKER PREDATOR YACHT

Aim:

To sketch all parts of a Sunseeker Predator Yacht and assemble all the parts together by using Solid works.

Objectives:

  • To sketch all the parts of a Sunseeker Predator Yacht with fully defined.
  • To assemble all parts of a Sunseeker Predator Yacht with fully defined.
  • To make blueprint render the assembly by Photo view 360o.

Procedure:

1.Propeller

It is a mechanical device for propelling a boat or aircraft, consisting of a revolving shaft with two or more broad, angled blades attached to it.

Tools used:

  • Revolve
  • Loft
  • Fillet
  • Extrude Cut
  • Circular Pattern

2.Radar

A radar device acts as a major navigation aid for boaters. It helps in detecting boats, birds, landmasses, and weather systems - even if the visibility is less than usual. Radar offers a significant aid to navigation and safety.

Tools used:

  • Extrude
  • Fillet
  • Extrude Cut
  • Sketch Pattern
  • Mirror
  • Split line

3.Hull

A hull is the watertight body of a ship or boat. The hull may open at the top or it may be fully or partially covered with a deck. A top the deck may be a deckhouse and other superstructures, such as a funnel, derrick, or mast. Mostly, hull is made up of Steel.

Tools used:

  • Curve
  • Surface Loft
  • Surface Trim
  • Surface Extrude
  • Surface Knit
  • Surface Fill
  • Shell
  • Extrude Cut
  • Chamfer
  • Sweep
  • Helix/Spiral
  • Linear Pattern
  • Delete Face
  • Revolve
  • Extrude Thin
  • Mirror
  • Combine
  • Split

4.Garage door

It is a door which is used to open or close the some space.

Tools used:

  • Extrude Cut
  • Fillet
  • Shell
  • Mirror

5.Seats

The primary function is used to sit and take some rest or chat with others. Here, front, middle and rear seats are sketch.

Tools used:

  • Surface Sweep
  • Surface Offset
  • Ruled surface
  • Surface Knit
  • Surface Extend
  • Surface trim
  • Surface Extrude
  • Surface Loft

6.Superstructure

A superstructure is an extended construction of any building or platform that rises above the rest of the building or platform in a distinct manner. It is a control tower of the yacht, it is the operational center for all the activities on the vessel, and it is also the work station of a majority of the technical staff.

Tools used:

  • Surface Sweep
  • Fillet
  • Surface Knit
  • Ruled Surface
  • Surface Trim
  • Curve
  • Surface Loft
  • Surface Fill
  • Surface Extrude
  • Surface Extend
  • Delete Face
  • Extrude Cut
  • Extrude
  • Surface Offset
  • Thicken
  • Extrude Thin
  • Dome
  • Split Line
  • Mirror
  • Chamfer

7.Radar Mast

It is used to detect other ships and land obstacles, to provide bearing and distance for collision avoidance and navigation at sea.

Tools used:

  • Extrude
  • Fillet
  • Revolve
  • Sweep
  • Mirror
  • Curve
  • Chamfer
  • Dome
  • Shell

8.Yacht Assembly

All parts of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht had done and assembly of the Yacht parts are done with different mates.

Mates used:

  • Plane mate
  • Coincident
  • Distance mate
  • Concentric

9. Rendering

It is the process of generating the photo realistic image from 2D or 3D models. It is also process of adding camera, decals to the model, giving it realistic appearance.

Tools used:

  • Edit Decal
  • Final Render
  • Camera

Conclusion:

Thus, the parts of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht is successfully completed and assembled by using Solid works and rendering is also done successfully by using Photo view 3600.
