Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_7_ Metal bracket-II
NX_BRACKET-II_EXTRACTION OF 2D TO 3D
OBJECTIVE : To design an advanced BRACKET-II Extraction from 2d to 3d using the sheet metal application in siemens NX.
Introduction
sheet metal design is a vast domain in the design of any sheet metal industry,it is used many sectors including the aeronautics & automotive sectors , in this sheet metal Bracket-II Extraction of 2d to 3d design we will look at the design approch using NX (CAD) SOFTWARE through various design , images , explaination and images .
Design Approach

figure 1 above shows the flow chart of the method used to achive the final design of the Bracket II extraction of 2d to 3d
Description
firstly we have to sketch the desired shapes of countinoues line (sketch in YZ plane) ,the sketch in perpendicular plane (sketch in XZ plane)then using the counter flange using the sketch of XZ, Using Counter flange option.normal cutout is cutted as per the sketch of YZ plane using normal cutout option .
break corner is used to fill the sharp corner and trim the sharp corners using break corner .Normal cutout the remaining sketch pending using normal cutout.unbend the sheet keeping one side as base and unbend using unbend poption.
sketch the required shape to be obtained in yz plane, normal cutout using the sketch previously drawn cutout is done normally using normal cutout option . rebend is done to previously unbend structure using rebend option , break corner is done to remove sharp corner .
advanced flange the flange is created on the required area on to edge required, unbend the sheet keeping the one of the sheet base as reference .create the sketch were as stand point reference and create the hole for it,normal cutout is created on the surface ,
advance flange were the flange is created on the curve is inlined and rebend is done to flattened surface using rebend option lateron the gusset is added to the radius and the plane is selected on to perpendicular surface then the bracket is finished.
