Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_7_ Metal bracket-II
Bracket
Objective: To create a metal bracket from a 2D- drawing.
Introduction: Brackets are sheet metal items which are used to mounts weights on wall. For example, TV brackets.
Design methodology:

Description: Here we can see the different features used in creating this bracket.
- Contour flange: This feature is used to create a sheet metal along a contour.
- Normal cut-out: This feature is used to project a sketch on the surface and to cut the surface in the shape of the projected sketch.
- Break corner: Used to make the sharp edges curved.
- Unbend: Used to un-bend the bent edges.
- Re-bend:
- Advanced flange: Advanced flanges can be created on non-linear edges or tangent curves.
- Hole: This feature is used to create holes.
- Gusset: Gussets are used to strengthen a flange without the need for secondary processes such as welding
Conclusion: By using the above features and also the procedure in the flow chart we can create a bracket as required.
