Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_6_Bracket
MODELLING OF SHEET METAL BRACKET USING UG NX CAD
AIM :
To design & model the sheet metal bracket using nx cad.
OBJECTIVE :
- To design & model the bracket in nx cad.
- To drafting the model in A3 sheet.
DESIGN METHODOLOGY :

INTRODUCTION :
Brackets are manufactured by conducting stamping or die casting operation. These are found their application for mounting of any products starting from antennas to TV, projectors or street lights and many more.
Tools used to model this part,
- Contour Flange - Creates a base features by extruding the sketch along the vector, or adds material by sweeping the sketch along a edge or chain of edge.
- Unbend - Flattern the bends and material adjecent to the bend.
- Normal Cut Out - Cuts material perpendicularly by projecting the sketch onto the model.
- Break corner - Rounds or chamfer the sharp edges of tab & flanges
- Bead - Lifts material along the contour of the sketch that simulates a stampling tool.
- Hole - Adds a hole to one or more solid bodies in a part or assembly.
- Rebend - Restore the unbend command to its previous bend state.
- Flat pattern - Creates the flat pattern features from the formed sheet metal parts.
