Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_2_Box Assembly

TITLE : BOX ASSEMBLY

OBJECTIVE : Create modeling and drafting of Box assembly in sheetmetal using NX-cad.

DESIGN APPROACH :

• Created TAB of required shape and size using TAB command.
• Created flanges on both sides of the tab and close corners with the help of close corners command.
• With the help of opened Hem command lock the parts.
• mirrored the parts and with the help of unite command unite the two parts.
• Using Dimple command created dimple of required shape and size on both sides.
• Using Bead command created bead on bottom of the part and with the help of linear pattern created four beads.
• Using closed hem on both side.
• Create new dattum offset of 203mm from from bottom surface.
• On that dattum, create a TAB of required shape and size.
• Created flange on the sides of tab.
• Create another tab using sketch and with the help of flange and open loop hem created an assembly.
