Adams Assignments – Problem 4 – Steering geometry 2
1) Open SLA Front suspension

2) Default Hard points

3) Run parallel wheel travel simulation

4) Postprocessor result for default hard point
a) Caster angle :-

b) Caster moment arm :-

c) KPI angle :-

d) Steer axis offset (resultant) :-

e) Steer axis longitudinal offset :-

f) Scrub radius :-

5) Now hard point modified to achive the targets, after modification run parallel wheel travel

a) Caster angle : ~4.00 deg

b) Caster moment arm : ~21.00 mm

c) KPI angle : ~13.00 deg

d) Steer axis offset (resultant) : ~85.00 mm

e) Steer axis longitudinal offset : ~0.00 mm

f) Scrub radius : ~20.00 mm

Q:-explain whether all of these parameters can be controlled independently.
Ans:- No its cannot controlled independently, because every point depend on each other, so change of one point conatraints can effect on other points result.
