I would like to thank skill Lync, Mr Bharath Kumar, for entire 24/7 support in my design to make me to learn the concept very clearly and completed the Design

Software Used to Design

Solid Works

It’s a product design software

Blueprint

Assign Yacht picture in

Front plane = Front view picture

Bottom plane (Top plane) = Bottom view picture

Right plane=Side view picture

Top plane (new plane w.r.t bottom plane) = Top view picture

Backplane (new plane w.r.t front plane) = back view picture

Tools- sketch tool- sketch picture the picture of the blueprint are assign as per dimension, name of the plane according to picture view & reduces transparency to 0.4 for better visibility to trace the picture

with the given picture as a reference as a trace an exact geometry of Design

Tools create part

Sketch

Creation of spline, line, rectangle, circle, arc, ellipse, hexogen, slot to create a required shape to create a model

Sketch editing

trim, extend, Move. Copy

power trim to trim up to the edge connected, extend is to extend the line to nearby reference, move to move the sketch entities, copy to create a duplicate of the sketch here in move & copy need a reference vertex to do the operation.

offset

The offset can create with a reference that is duplication in a given dimension that may be the dimension, face

By applying smart dimension with respect to relation base we can create dimension

Convert entity to convert drawing from the existing part

Part

A single 3D object made up of features. A part can become a component in an assembly, and it can be represented in 2D in a drawing.

Features

This is the main command to command to convert the sketch into part

Boss/base

To create a part

Cut

To remove the component

Extrude

Closed are of the sketch to create or subtract entire solid part or else from the perimeter we can specify the thickness

From-sketch plane

Part Create from sketch plane as the reference

From-surface/face/plane, vertex

Part Create from sketch plane as surface, phase, face here we need to select the plane from reference part is created

Direction

Blind

Specify dimension to create a model area to volume perpendicular direction we can flip to the required side

Offset from surface

We can create offset from selected surface inward or outward to required dimension selection must be perpendicular to the surface to select

Mid plane

An area in a sketch to create a model on both sides with from reference

Revolve

With the reference of axis entire area is revolve we can specify according to requirement like degree of angle rotation of model to create or subtract

Sweep

For the sweep, there are two things needed to create or subtract that is profile & path

Area to travel according to the path like boundary here thumb rule is profile need to be perpendicular to the path

Here we can use guide curves to travel according to a selected line, thin feature to specify the thickness of the profile

Loft

Multiple cross-sections is connected to connect part here thumb rule is to create cross-section are perpendicular to each are or else perpendicular to the guide curve to create or subtract loft we can also specify thickness

Fillet

To create curved edges on the face or edges selected to specify the value to create a fillet

chamfer

it’s a cut specify the dimension, the angle between two reference edges or faces

patter

A pattern repeats selected sketch entities, features, or components in an array

linear pattern

to create multiple parts in a linear reference offset distance

Circular pattern

To create multiple parts in angular reference axis need for a circular pattern

Mirror

The part creates is reflected in another portion which we select as a reference

Dom

Curve closed feature of the face like dimple shape on face circular & elliptical can be created

Shell

To create thickness from the boundary of the part

Reference geometry

Plane

Flat construction geometry. Planes can be used for a 2D sketch, section view of a model, a neutral plane in a draft feature, and others.

To create new plane here we need to reference to create which to normal & source place (example-vertex) we can also manipulate dimension, angle, to create a new plane

Curve-

Project curve

To create a curve which is related to two different planes to combine each other as a single 3D curve here the key it needs to be single vertex as a common reference to create

Helix/spiral

With the reference of plane & circle helix/ spiral created by specifying starting angle, pitch (in between two helix distance), height (total height of spiral) revolution (total number of revolutions of the helix)

Surface

The part with zero thickness is defined as the surface

Here it is not necessary to be closed sketch to create the surface

Extrude, revolve, sweep, loft as same as feature the only the surface creation

Filled surface

To create a surface that connects edges of the part

Extend surface

To extend surface from the edge of selection by distance, up to point up to surface, linear & same surface extension type

Trim surface

With the reference of surface, sketch, stranded type & mutual mean two or more reference for trim

Ruled Surface

Tangent to surface

Surface Created tangent to the base edge

Normal to surface

Surface Created normal to the base edge

Taper to vector

Create a surface selected edge with reference of selection face can create tapper surface by define angle

Perpendicular to vector

Create a surface selected edge with reference of selection face can create the perpendicular surface

Sweep

Similar to sweep operation

Knit surface

To sewing surface together with or without tolerance to convert single surface if the surface is close surface convert into a solid body.

Assembly

Attached the single subpart into source part by assigning Degree of freedom

Mate

Combing specify relation like a tangent, distance, concentric, coincide

Parts

For all part from the blueprint as a reference design start except propeller, garage door

Hull

It is a watertight enclosure of the ship which means the base structure of the ship that product water not to allow inside the ship

the hull is designed a reference of blueprint

Command used to design

Sketch, Project curve, helix/spiral curve, sweep, boss & cut extrude, boss revolve, surface loft. Trim, surface fill, knit surface, reference plane, fillet, chamfer, Dome, linear pattern, mirror, split, combine, shell, offset surface

To apply appearance to the hull by applying Appearance (colours), Decals (picture)

Superstructure

superstructure means to add construction to an already existing structure which means above the hull. In ships, this is the name given to the part of the ship that emerges from the deck

With the reference of the hull base surface & blueprint superstructure start design

Command used to design

Sketch, Project curve, helical curve, reference plane, sweep, extrude (surface, cut, Boss), revolve, loft (surface, Boss), Trim, surface fill, knit surface, ruled, fillet, chamfer, Dome, linear pattern, mirror, Delete Face, split line, combine, offset surface

To apply appearance to the superstructure by applying Appearance (colours), Decals (picture)

Seats

With the reference of the hull, surface & blueprint seats are design

Front seat

Command used to design

Sketch, plane, surface sweep, surface loft, extrude (surface, cut, Boss), knit, chamfer, fillet, Revolve (boss), trim surface, mirror, Dome

Middle seat

Command Used

Sketch, plane, extrude (Boss, cut), chamfer. Fillet, mirror

Rear seat

Command Used

Sketch, 3D sketch, plane, extrude (surface, Boss, cut), loft(surface), chamfer. Fillet, mirror, surface fill, surface offset, surface trim, Ruler

Radar mast

With the reference of superstructure surface & blueprint, Radar mast start design

They are electronic navigation instruments that use a rotating antenna (Radar)to sweep a narrow beam of microwaves around the water surface surrounding the ship to the horizon, detecting targets by microwaves reflected from them, generating a picture of the ship's surroundings on a display screen.

Command used to design

Sketch, reference plane, sweep (Boss), extrude (cut, Boss), revolve (Boss) fillet, chamfer, Dome, mirror, Delete Face

apply appearance to the Radar mast by applying Appearance (colours)

Propeller

Command used to design

Sketch, Revolve, extrude cut, fillet, circular patten, loft

Assembly

To constrain the part inappropriate position

Command used

Mate

Coincide

Distance

From the reference of the hull by default constrain to plain in Assembly from that superstructure, seats, for rear seatmate of hull top face and distance, radar which is created as default reference, radar as coincide with radar mast & coincide with radar top face, Garage door with plain of hull & coincide with the garage head holder.
