Drag Force
Aim:
To find asssign the plot for Velocity vs Dragforce and Dragcoefficent vs Drag Force
Theory:
Drag Force
Formulae:
Drag Force = rho*A*v.^2*c_d*0.5
Discription:
Drag force is a frictional force applied on the body of a rider during the forward motion by the air. Drag Force affects the speed of the bicycle in considerable rate. that force is calculated by the formulae provided above. Drag force varies from one rider to another with varing size mostly. The drag coefficient of an automobile impacts the way the automobile passes through the surrounding air. When automobile companies design a new vehicle they take drag coefficient into consideration in addition to the other performance characteristics. Aerodynamic drag increases with the square of velocity. THus impacting the velocity of bicycle.
