Sheet Metal Casing Design by using NX12

Objective :

Casing are used to close the functional areas Machine or other things.

Description :

The various commands and features that were used to design the Casing are given as follows:

Sketch : Basic need to create the every design
Tab : Basic thing to create the 3D modelling
Cut out : Used to cut the sheet metal part by using our drawn sketch
Bend : By using the Sketch we can bend the sheet metal part wherever we need
Flange : Its also used to bend the sheet metal. But these features are applied in corners of the sheet metal
Break corner : It is used to remove the sharp edges of the sheet metal
Unbend : Make the sheet metal part as flat surface
Hole : Used to make the Screws
Dimple : It required closed loop sketch. Used to extrude the sheet metal parts
Mirror : This feature is to make the same dimension by using the plane
Rebend : It is the reverse order of the Unbend option

Conclusion :

Thus the casing of sheet metal has been designed by using NX12
