Parametric Study on Gate Valve

Parametric study on Gate valve

Objective - To perform parametric study on the gate valve with different design points or different lifts and obtain mass flow rate of different lifts.

Preprocessing -

a) Spaceclaim

i) Firstly open the gate valve cad model in the Spaceclaim.

ii) Move the gate disc up by 10 mm. Design - move - gate disc by 10 mm - click the Parametric option P.

iii) Then Prepare - volume extract - edges - select the required edges and extract fluid volume.

iv) Design - pull - pull the bottom inlets and outlets by 800 mm.

v) Right click on volume and update volume body in context.

vi) Suppress for physics the parts of the gate valve.

vii) save and close the Spaceclaim.
