FINDING THE VALUE FOR GIVEN FUNCTION AND UNDERSTANDING THE IN-BULT SUSPENSION SYSTEM TYPES AND RESULTS IN SIMULINK
FINDING THE VALUE FOR GIVEN FUNCTION AND UNDERSTANDING THE IN-BULT SUSPENSION SYSTEM TYPES AND RESULTS IN SIMULINK
AIM:-
1.Need to create the give function in simulink and need finding the value for the function.
2.Understand the pre-bult function of simulink by studying the function thoroughly
OBJECTIVES:-
1.Plot a function yx=(x-1)*(x-3)^2*(x-9)^2 using basic Simulink blocks.
2.Run Simulink example “Suspension System Comparison” and explain what are the things your observed.
FINDING THE VALUE FOR GIVEN FUNCTION:- yx=(x-1)*(x-3)^2*(x-9)^2
To generate the above function in simulink
1.Ramp
2.Bias
3.Math function
4.Product
5.Scope
6.Display
Ramp:-
Here we are using the ramp becase it continuously increase the value at every sec
Scope:-
To display the result on graph as per the function values
RESULT GRAPH AS SCOPE:-
SUSPENSION SYSTEM COMPARISON:-
OBJECTIVE OF SIMULATION:-
Simulation is to create the real time situation on the product and to get the result according to the situation and to reduce the time& cost also.
FIGURE:-
FROM ABOVE FIGURE WE ARE STUDYING THE RESULT AND WORKING OF THREE DIFFERENT SUSPENSION SYSTEMS
1.LINEAR SPRING (SHOCK ABSORBER)
2.NONLINEAR SPRING
3.VARIABLE SPRING
We are creating the similar situation to three systems, as per load and velocity and frequance at three stages,we are using some common components here
sprung mass :- It is the total weight of the vehicle is supported by the suspension of vehicle.(exmp: engine, gear box, chassis, body and intirior components,etc..,)
Unsprung mass:-It is the mass of the vehcle suspension and other conected components ,not supported by the damping of suspension.(exmp: tyre , wheel, hub,arm of suspension,etc...,)
Ideal translation sensor:-
A device that converts an across variable translation nodes into a control signal praportional to velocity
The sensor is ideal since it does not account for inertia, friction, delays, energy consumption.
R&C are mechanical translational conserving ports that connect to the nodes whose motion is being moniterd
V&P are physical signal output ports for velocity and position.
Ideal translation spring :-
The translational spring block, represents an ideal linear mechanical spring , had 2 points R&C
Varible spring:-
we will give variable stiffness to the spring at variable places
CASE:1
Amplitude:- 1
Frequency(rad/sec):- 3
Period(sec):- 120
pulse width(% of period):- 100/6
Phase delay(sec):-0
As per the above conditions we will get graph like this in frist case:
here due to the less frequency the oscillations of sine wave is less
CASE:2
Amplitude:- 1
Frequency(rad/sec):- 15
Period(sec):- 120
pulse width(% of period):- 100/6
Phase delay(sec):-120*2/6
As per the above conditions we will get graph like this in frist case:
here due to the some increased frequency the oscillations of sine wave is more
CASE:3
Amplitude:- 1
Frequency(rad/sec):- 15
Period(sec):- 120
pulse width(% of period):- 100/6
Phase delay(sec):-120*4/6
As per the above conditions we will get graph like this in frist case:
here due to the more increased frequency the oscillations of sine wave is high
After the three cases sprung mass and velocity behaviour is shown below:-
From this case:1 & case:2 & case:3 we observe after aplying the load or after given some frequency as per cases the variable suapension recuvered early then the shock absorber & non linear suspension.
