Introduction

I am a Mechanical Engineer with keen interest in Automobiles and Aircrafts, I was fascinated with Computational Fluid Dynamics and its applications,so i have enrolled in Masters in External Aerodynamics Simulation Program. This page is meant to serve as documentation for all the projects that i have done.

Transient Simulation of flow over a throttle body

        Objective:

Introduction:     In a traditional spark ignition gasoline engine, the throttle body is the part of the air intake system that controls the amount of air that flows into an engine\'s combustion chamber. It consists of a housing unit that contains a throttle plate (butterfly valve) that rotates on a shaft. When…

Flow Over a Backward Facing Step

        Objective:

Introduction:       Flow over a backward facing step forms the basis of many real flow situations. It is often used as test cases for improvement of numerical schemes and is a classical problem in applied aerodynamics. The backward-facing step is a common test case for CFD codes. Although the geometry is…

Steady State Simulation of Flow Over a Throttle body

        Objective:

Introduction: To regulate the power output from an engine, there has to be some restriction of fuel - air mixture that reaches the cylinders. One way to do this is to use some kind of valve that restricts the air, fuel is then regulated to get the correct fuel – air mixture. The most common valve is of butterfly…
